<br />CTA Project No. 19-0035-001-01 01050-1 Golden Shores Street Lighting <br />October 12, 2020 SIB Bid No. 20-09-01 <br />SECTION 01050 - FIELD ENGINEERING <br /> <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 SCOPE <br />A. CONTRACTOR shall provide field engineering services as necessary to perform and <br />complete the Work of the Contract, as indicated on Drawings and specified in this Section. <br />B. CONTRACTOR shall provide the services of a land surveyor to perform project related <br />surveys. <br />1.02 QUALIFICATIONS OF SURVEYOR <br />A. The land surveyor shall be a Professional Engineer or Registered Land Surveyor registered <br />in the State of Florida. CONTRACTOR shall submit to ENGINEER the name, address and <br />evidence of current registration of surveyor or professional engineer. <br />1.03 SURVEY REQUIREMENTS <br />A. The scope of survey work shall include: <br />1. Protect and, if damaged or destroyed, properly replace survey reference points. <br />2. Establish project survey control points and set out lines and levels, locate and lay <br />out all site improvements and other work. Including determining the limits of <br />driveway/walkway/sod restoration on private property based upon grading provided <br />within the right-of way. <br />3. Verify all lay out and record locations, with horizontal and vertical data, for Project <br />Record Documents and submit documentation to verify accuracy of field survey <br />work. <br />4. On completion of work, prepare a certified survey showing finished dimensions, <br />locations, angles and elevations of construction, duly signed and sealed by the <br />surveyor, certifying that elevations and locations of improvements are in <br />conformance with Contract Documents. <br />5. During the construction process, maintain records of all dev iations from the <br />Contract Documents and prepare As-built Drawings showing correctly and <br />accurately all changes and deviations made during construction to reflect the <br />work as it was actually constructed and subsequently surveyed. Also refer to <br />Engineering As-built Requirements within General Notes and Specifications. <br />1.04 SURVEY REFERENCE POINTS <br />A. Existing basic horizontal and vertical control points are designated on Drawings. All <br />elevations are referred to NAVD 1988; Horizontal Control - NAD 83, Florida State Plane <br />Coordinates. Establish all vertical and horizontal controls required for construction. <br />B. Locate and protect control points prior to starting site work, and preserve permanent <br />reference points during construction. <br />1. Make no changes or relocations of such points without prior written notice to and <br />concurrence of ENGINEER. <br />2. Report to ENGINEER when any reference point is lost or destroyed, or requires <br />relocation because of necessary changes in grades or locations.
