Individual street closings with locations and time durations. <br />10. Detour facilities. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 TRAFFIC CONTROL AND CHANNELIZING DEVICES <br />A. Provide devices complying with the standards referenced in 1.01 C above as applicable. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC <br />A. The CONTRACTOR, at all times, shall conduct the work in such a manner as to insure <br />the least obstruction to traffic as is practical. The safety and convenience of the general <br />public and of the businesses adjacent to the work shall be provided for in a satisfactory <br />manner, as determined by the ENGINEER, the City, the County, and FDOT. <br />B. Sidewalks, gutters, drains, fire hydrants and private drives shall, insofar as practical, be <br />kept in good condition for their intended uses. Fire hydrants on or adjacent to the work <br />shall be kept accessible to fire apparatus at all times, and no material or obstruction shall <br />be placed within ten (10) feet of any such hydrant. <br />C. Construction materials temporarily stored within the road right -of-way shall be placed so <br />as to cause as little obstruction to the general public as is reasonably possible. <br />D. Streets shall not be closed, except in accordance with the approved MOT Plans, and <br />whenever the street is not closed, the work must be conducted with the provision for a <br />safe passageway for vehicular and pedestrian traffic at all times. The CONTRACTOR <br />shall make all necessary arrangement s with the City, the ENGINEER, County, and <br />FDOT concerning maintenance of traffic and selection of detours required. <br />E. All existing regulatory and information signs and traffic signals shall be maintained by the <br />CONTRACTOR for as long as deemed necessary by the CONSULTANT. If any signs or <br />signals are damaged or lost during the construction period, such signs and signals shall <br />be repaired or replaced by the CONTRACTOR at CONTRACTOR’s expense. <br />3.02 DIVERSION/DETOURING OF TRAFFIC <br />A. When permission has been granted to close an existing roadway, the CONTRACTOR <br />shall furnish and erect signs, channelizing devices, lights, flags and other protective <br />devices, which shall conform to the requirements of Par. 1.01 C, and be subject to the <br />approval of the City, the ENGINEER, County, and FDOT. The CONTRACTOR shall <br />furnish and maintain proper protective devices at such locations for the entire time of <br />closure as the CONSULTANT may direct. <br />B. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish a sufficient number of protective devices to prote ct and <br />divert the vehicular and pedestrian traffic from working areas closed to traffic, or to <br />protect any new work. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in the City <br />and/or ENGINEER shutting down the work, until the CONTRACTOR provides the <br />necessary protection. <br />C. Any time traffic is diverted for a period of time that will exceed one work day temporary <br />pavement markings will be required. Existing pavement markings that conflict with the
