CTA Project No. 19-0035-001-01 16000-6 Golden Shores Street Lighting <br />October 12, 2020 SIB Bid No. 20-09-01 <br />field measurements as necessary to properly fit the work. Utilize appropriate tools and <br />equipment for scale of project (i.e. 12’ ladders are inappropriate in lieu of lifts). <br />B. Conform to the National Electrical Contractors Association's "Standard of Installation" for <br />general installation practice. <br />3.02 SUPERVISION <br />A. Constantly supervise, personally or through an authorized and competent representative, <br />the work from beginning to completion; within reason, keep the same workmen and <br />foreman on the project throughout the project duration. <br />3.03 PROTECTION <br />A. Keep conduits, junction boxes, and other openings closed to prevent entry of foreign <br />matter. Cover fixtures, equipment, devices, apparatus, and protect them against dirt, paint, <br />water, chemical, or mechanical damage before and during construction period. Restore to <br />original condition fixtures, apparatus, or equipment damaged prior to final acceptance. <br />Protect bright finished surfaces and similar items until in service. No rust or damage will be <br />permitted. <br />3.04 MANUFACTURERS SERVICES <br />A. Provide Manufacturers service for testing and start-up of the following equipment: <br />B. The Manufacturers of the above listed equipment shall provide an experienced Field <br />Service Engineer to accomplish the following tasks: <br /> 1. The equipment shall be visually inspected upon completion of installation and prior <br />to being energized to assure that wiring is correct, interconnection complete and the <br />installation is in compliance with the Manufacturer's design criteria. Documentation <br />shall be reviewed to assure that all Drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, <br />parts list and other data required to check out and sustain equipment operation is <br />available on site. Documentation shall be red-lined to reflect any changes or <br />modifications made during the installation so that the "as-built" equipment <br />configuration will be correctly defined. Spare parts shall be inventoried to assure <br />correct type and quantity. <br /> 2. Field Service Engineers shall provide engineering support during the energization <br />and check out of each major equipment assembly. They shall perform any <br />calibration or adjustment required for the equipment to meet the Manufacturer's test <br />Specifications. <br /> <br />- END OF SECTION -
