CTA Project No. 19-0035-001-01 16000-5 Golden Shores Street Lighting <br />October 12, 2020 SIB Bid No. 20-09-01 <br /> 16. Warranties/Guarantees <br />C. The Manufacturer's name and product designation or catalog numbers shall be submitted <br />for the following material: <br /> 1. Conduit <br /> 2. Wire and Cable <br /> 3. Pull Boxes, Test Wells, Junction Boxes and Wireways <br /> 4. Switches and Receptacles <br /> 5. Lamps, Fixtures, Poles <br /> 6. Control Panels <br /> 7. Terminal Blocks <br /> 8. Fuses, Fuse Kits <br />D. Prior to submittal by the Contractor, all shop drawings shall be checked for accuracy and <br />Contract requirements. Shop drawings shall bear the date and the signature of the person <br />who checked them and shall be accompanied by a statement from the Contractor that they <br />have been examined for conformity to the Contract Documents. This statement shall also <br />list all discrepancies with the Contract Documents. Shop drawings not so checked and <br />noted will be returned as disapproved. <br />E. The Engineer's check of the shop drawings and submittals shall be only for conformance <br />with the design concept of the project and compliance with the Contract Documents. The <br />responsibility of, or the necessity of, furnishing materials and workmanship required by the <br />Contract Documents which may not be indicated on the shop drawings and submittals is <br />included under the work of this Section. <br />F. No material shall be ordered or shop work started until the Engineer's approval of the shop <br />drawings and submittals has been approved. <br />2.02 SUBSTITUTIONS <br />A. Refer to other sections of the Contract Documents for substitution requirements. <br />2.03 PAINTING <br />A. Do not paint nameplates, labels, tags, switches, receptacles, conductors, grounding and <br />etc. <br />2.04 MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURE <br />A. Material and equipment shall be new, of the best quality and design, free from defects and <br />imperfections, and have markings or a nameplate identifying the manufacturer and <br />providing sufficient reference to establish quality, size, and capacity. All material and <br />equipment of the same type shall be made by the same manufacturer whenever practical. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 WORKMANSHIP <br />A. Preparation, handling, and installation of material and equipment shall be in accordance <br />with the manufacturer's written instructions and technical data particular to the product <br />specified and/or accepted equivalent, except as otherwise specified.
