CTA Project No. 19-0035-001-01 16500-6 Golden Shores Street Lighting <br />October 12, 2020 SIB Bid No. 20-09-01 <br />grounding conductor shall all be bonded to the ground rod as indicated in the standard <br />details. <br />2.05 LIGHTING CONTROLS <br />A. Lighting contactors shall be as manufactured by Cutler -Hammer, the Square D <br />Company, or General Electric Company. Lighting contactors shall be heavy -duty <br />industrial type with 30A minimum rating and shall have the number of contacts required. <br />Contactor ampere rating shall be increased as required to suit the application. Contactor <br />coil voltage shall be as indicated on the drawings. Contactors shall be the electrically or <br />mechanically held type as indicated on the drawings. Contactors shall include fused <br />integral control power transformers. Any auxiliary relays, or other devices required for <br />proper operation shall be included. Lighting contactor enclosures shall be as follows: <br />1. Photocells shall be rated for 120 VAC, 1800W, and be provided with ½-inch or <br />¾-inch threads for box mounting. Photocells shall be Model K4121C by <br />Intermatic, or equal. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSTALLATION <br />A. Lighting Luminaires shall be located symmetrically with building lines as shown on the <br />drawings. CONTRACTOR shall furnish and install the lighting Luminaires to allow <br />“convenient” access for maintenance such as cleaning, relamping, and other activities. <br />Where Luminaires are shown in locations on the drawings where m aintenance would be <br />difficult, th e CONTRACTOR shall notify the ENGINEER for direction. <br />B. CONTRACTOR shall provide and install all inserts, conduit, structural supports as <br />required, lamps, ballasts, poles, wiring, and any other items required for a complet e <br />system. CONTRACTOR shall properly adjust and test, to the satisfaction of the <br />ENGINEER, the entire lighting system. <br />C. CONTRACTOR shall protect all Luminaires at all times from damage, dirt, dust, and the <br />like. Before final acceptance, all Luminaires and devices shall be cleaned of all dust, dirt <br />or other material, be fully re -lamped (except LED Luminaires) and in operating condition <br />to the satisfaction of the ENGINEER. <br />D. Circuiting shall be as shown on the drawings and as follows: <br />1. Loads shall be balanced between phases to within a tolerance . <br />2. Voltage drop to the most remote lighting Luminaire shall be limited to three (3) <br />percent. <br />E. Luminaires located on the exterior of the building shall be provided with neoprene gasket <br />and non-ferrous metal screws finished to match the Luminaires. <br />F. All lighting units, when installed, shall be set true and be free of light leaks, warps, dents, <br />and other irregularities. All hangers, cables, supports, ch annels, and brackets of all kinds <br />for safely erecting this equipment in place, shall be furnished and erect ed in place by the <br />CONTRACTOR. <br />G. CONTRACTOR shall install Luminaires at mounting heights indicated on the drawings or <br />as instructed by the ENGINEER. Exact pole locations to be verified with City prior to <br />installation. Installation of Luminaires shall be adapted to field conditions as determined <br />by the ENGINEER.
