All <br />subcontractors shall cooperate to the fullest possible extent to assure coordination and correlation of <br />safety related activities concerning all personnel on respective projects. Subcontractors must follow <br />R & D Electric,lnc safety rules. <br />Utility Damage: <br />All utility damage no matter how minor needs to be reported to the safety officer for investigation. All <br />jobs shall have a blue stake done prior to the start of work; this shall be done by the safety officer. All <br />utilities shall be located by hand prior to any equipment being put into the ground. <br />Disciplinary Actions <br />Property Damage, Utility Damage, Equipment Damage: <br />For all property damage, utility damage, etc., that is deemed to be a result of any R & D Electric,lnc <br />employee's actions, the responsible employee shall receive at a minimum of a write up, drug screen <br />and shall not be allowed to return to work until the office receives the results of the drug screen. <br />Depending on the severity and prior employee record, the employee may receive a suspension or <br />termination. <br />Employee Negligence: <br />Any property damage, utility damage, etc., that is caused by a R & D Electric,lnc employee due to <br />negligence, the responsible employee will receive a minimum of a write up, drug screen, and a 5 day <br />suspension without pay. Depending on the severity and the employee's prior record the employee <br />may receive a longer suspension or termination. <br />Violation Of Seat belt Policy: <br />Employees caught not wearing a seat belt while operating mobile equipment (including company <br />trucks) will receive a minimum of a write up, and a 5 day suspension. Depending on employee's <br />prior record the employee may receive a longer suspension or termination. <br />Use Of Personal Cell Phones: <br />If an employee is caught making personal calls during company time he/she will at a minimum <br />receive a write up. If he/she is operating a piece of equipment while on the phone, he/she will <br />receive a minimum of a write up and a 5 day suspension. Depending on the employee's prior record <br />the employee may receive a write up, suspension or termination. <br />Injuries: <br />If an injury to a R & D Electric,Inc employee is deemed as being the fault of an R & D Electric,lnc <br />employee then the employee will receive a minimum of a safety write up, drug screen, and possible <br />suspension. Depending on severity, employee may receive a suspension or termination. <br />Safety Violations: <br />Please refer to your Employee Handbook section: 716 Progressive Discipline. <br />
