TLC Engineering for Architecture, Inc. is now TLC Engineering Solutions, Inc. We are continuously learning and growing, and it is that commitment to constantly evolve that led to our new brand. Our renewed vision to THINK
boldly, LISTEN attentively, and CREATE passionately serves as the blueprint that guides our promise of extreme service to our clients.
TLC Engineering Solutions continues to provide high-performance engineering design, consulting and energy
services. Founded in 1955 and consistently ranked among the largest MEP and structural engineering firms in the country, we are an industry leader with expertise in diverse markets, from education to healthcare to aviation.
Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, TLC Engineering has eight offices across Florida as well as offices in Nashville, Tennessee; New Orleans, Louisiana; Dallas, Texas; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Atlanta, Georgia. Our highly qualified team of 380+ professionals includes professional engineers, LEED-accredited professionals and ACG-registered commissioning authorities, coupled with specialists in acoustics, energy management and technology. We provide comprehensive services that allow clients to collaborate with a dedicated team from start to finish. MEP/FP: From central energy plants to master planning, our integrated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) systems support every building function properly and cost effectively. Using the latest technology combined with our knowledge of codes and standards, we have designed innovative systems, such as thermal energy storage, geothermal, variable refrigerant flow, and chilled beams. Our licensed fire protection engineering staff provides system design and building code / life safety consulting. Structural: TLC Engineering develops structural solutions that are both creative and viable for a wide variety of building types, with particular expertise in structural analysis and design, threshold inspections and existing building evaluations and investigations. We apply our technical aptitude to engineer structural framing systems, including reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, tilt-wall, and concrete masonry bearing walls. Technology: Using the latest software and tools, TLC Engineering's RCDD-credentialed team produces leading-edge designs that support unique project requirements. Rapidly evolving technology demands that designs are crafted for flexibility, growth and change. Specialized applications include integrated security, audio-visual presentation, voice/video/data distribution, public address/sound, acoustical analysis, and broadband distribution. Acoustical: Noise levels that are properly managed can enhance operations or when unmanaged, negatively impact building occupants and those nearby. The ultimate goal of our acoustical specialists is to assure advantageous noises are clearly heard and that less desirable noises are mitigated or managed, resulting in higher quality environments for all building types. BIM: TLC Engineering was an early adopter of Revit, resulting in streamlined designs that are integrated with our architectural partners, support construction activities and achieve clients' goals. Our design and production tools include Revit MEP, Revit Structural and IES VE Pro for energy modeling and design analysis. Energy: Our in-house team of sustainability consultants and energy performance specialists provide new and existing building commissioning, net operating income improvements, energy modeling and sustainability consulting. We have delivered 420+ LEED-certified projects, as well as projects earning certification from the Florida Green Building Coalition, Green Building Initiative and the International Living Future Institute. WELL®: At the leading edge of trends in building design is an emphasis on buildings that support increased employee productivity. Buildings that incorporate features that encourage occupant health, reduce employer healthcare costs and boost productivity have been proven to yield a powerful impact on the bottom line. A 1% improvement in productivity typically exceeds a building’s annual energy expense. One way to demonstrate the health aspects of a building is through WELL certification, a service provided by TLC Engineering.
TLC Engineering Solutions, Inc. is an employee-owned corporation classified as a large business.
