BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach contracted R.J. <br />Behar & Company, Inc. (RJ Behar) to prepare a <br />conceptual design and design-build criteria <br />package (DB) for the Gateway Park Pedestrian <br />Bridge. The project involved the design and <br />construction of a pedestrian access bridge over <br />the westbound ramp of SR-826 (aka Sunny Isles <br />Boulevard) to connect a parcel of City-owned <br />property that lies between the eastbound and <br />westbound SR-826 ramps. <br />RJ Behar developed a preliminary concept plan; <br />preliminary design plans, obtained all the <br />necessary permits, and prepared the design-build <br />criteria package. The preliminary design included <br />the preparation and approval of the typical <br />section(s) package, the preparation and approval <br />of the pavement design(s), identified and obtained <br />approval of the design variances or exceptions, <br />and provided preliminary utility coordination. <br />RJ Behar also assisted with post design services for the project and reviewed the Contractor’s proposals and the selected <br />contractor-design team’s final construction plans. <br />Cost/Fees Paid: $57,000 │Construction Cost: $450,000 (Estimated) <br />Key Personnel: Robert J.
