Floor System
A continuous concrete slab composite with the concrete FUBs serves as a walking surface, stiffens the
structure in bending and torsion, and further adds to the system redundancy. Concrete slabs span
longitudinally between exterior brackets and will contain soil for planters, utility chases, and drainage
troughs.

3D Printed Model
We provided the City with a 3D printed model of the spine and rib
superstructure during the 2019 RFP presentation to allow the review
committee to experience the innovative superstructure system from
any perspective they chose and demonstrate the depth of thought
behind our concept. The model has the top walking surface removed
to showcase the redundancy of the structural elements, integration
of maintenance access, integration of foliage planter spaces, while
keeping a thin, gracile profile on edge.
Floor System - Slab on FUBs and between ribs

This system is a unique
application of conventional
elements creating an iconic
bridge that is simple to
maintain and permit.
Photo of 3D Printed Model
