<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach | Request for Proposals No. 20-12-01 10 <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br />SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS <br /> <br />2.1 PURPOSE OF BID: <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach, “City” is seeking proposals from qualified “Contractors”/ “Vendors” <br />to provide Event Rides Rental and Event Activities on an as-needed basis for the City in accordance <br />with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this Request for Proposals “RFP”. This <br />includes, but is not limited to: inflatable slides (wet & dry), bounce houses, inflatable obstacle <br />courses, rock walls, mechanical rides, carnival games, face painters, balloon twisters, stilt walkers, <br />and costume characters. Services are inclusive of materials, delivery, and labor. It is the intent of <br />this solicitation to engage one or more qualified contractor(s) for the rental or lease of rides and <br />activities for various locations and events. <br /> <br />2.2 PRE-BID CONFERENCE: <br /> <br />A Pre-Bid Conference will not be scheduled for this RFP. <br /> <br />2.3 CONTRACT TERM AND RENEWALS <br /> <br />This contract will commence upon execution by both parties which shall be the effective date <br />succeeding approval of the contract by the City Commission, unless otherwise stipulated in a Notice <br />of Award letter; and contingent upon the completion and submittal of all required proposal <br />documents. This contract shall remain in effect for an initial two (2) years; provided that the <br />services rendered by the vendor during the contract period are satisfactory. <br /> <br />2.4 PRICE <br /> <br />If a Proposal is awarded a contract under this solicitation, the price shall remain fixed and firm <br />during the contract term. Contractor shall be responsible for mobilization and demobilization of <br />labor, permits, materials and equipment. Pricing shall include all labor, materials, supplies, <br />equipment, subcontractors, insurance, profit and any other costs to provide the Services as noted <br />in this Request for Proposal. <br /> <br />2.5 RATE AND RATE ADJUSTMENTS <br /> <br />Prior to, or upon completion of that initial term, the City shall have the option at its sole discretion <br />to renew this contract for an additional three (3) one (1) year renewal terms. Prior to completion <br />of each exercised contract term, the City may consider an adjustment to price based on changes <br />in the following pricing index: Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers <br />(CPI-W): Miami-Fort Lauderdale, FL. <br /> <br />It is the vendor’s responsibility to request any pricing adjustment under this provision, which shall <br />not exceed 5%. For any adjustment to commence on the first day of any exercised option period, <br />the vendor’s request for adjustment shall be submitted no later than ninety (90) days prior to <br />expiration of the then current contract term. In no event will the price be increased or decreased
