City of Sunny Isles Beach | Request for Proposals No. 20-12-01 11 by a percentage greater than the percentage change reflected in the C.P.I. as published by the U.S. Department of Labor. If no adjustment request is received from the vendor, the City will assume that the vendor has agreed the optional term may be exercised without pricing adjustment. Any adjustment request received after the commencement of a new option period may not be considered. The City reserves the right to negotiate lower pricing for the additional term(s) based on market research information or other factors that influence price. The City reserves the right to apply any reduction in pricing for the additional term(s) based on the downward movement of the applicable index. The City reserves the right to reject any price adjustments submitted by the Vendor and/or to not exercise any otherwise available option period based on the proposed price adjustments. Any continuation of the contract beyond the initial period, and any option subsequently exercised shall be at the sole discretion of the City, and not a right of the vendor. Renewals shall be exercised only when such continuation is clearly in the best interest of the City. Should the vendor decline the City’s right to exercise the option period, the City may consider the vendor in default, which may affect the vendor’s eligibility for future contracts. 2.6 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR AWARD Proposals will be considered only from vendors which are regularly engaged in the business as described in this package; with a record of performance for a minimum of three years, must have prior successful experience, the equipment, and the organization to ensure that they can satisfactorily execute the service. Award of this contract will be made to the responsive and responsible vendor who meets the minimum qualifications set forth in this solicitation. Those qualifications are as follows: • Must show proof that they conduct background checks on all employees upon award (as per Section 2.11 in this bid). • Provide a minimum of three (3) references in which similar goods and/or services have been provided within the last two (2) years including scope of work, contact names, addresses, telephone numbers, and dates of service. • Provide a list and description of all equipment including, but not limited to, inflatable slides (wet & dry), bounce houses, inflatable obstacle courses, rock walls, mechanical rides, carnival games, and other event related activity or entertainment such as face painters, balloon twisters, stilt walkers, costume characters, that will be available to complete work as outlined in the Scope of Work. • Maintain compliance with applicable inspections or required certifications needed to operate each piece of equipment used, and be able to show proof of compliance.
