WHAT USES OR ACTIVITIES WOULD YOU WISH THERE WERE MORE OF IN THE TOWN CENTER? <br />$0 <br />60 <br />20 <br />D] <br />60 <br />50 <br />40 <br />30 <br />20 <br />10 <br />0 <br />Quo <br />5� <br />Source: Pop -Up outreach, Listening Session, online Survey <br />YES NO <br />Participants would I ike to see abetter selection <br />of shopping, dining and entertaining options. <br />By this they mean not only additional options <br />but higher quality options. <br />Many participants prioritize broader quality <br />of life issues over regulatory issues related to <br />the Town Center: <br />• Walkability, connectivity throughout the <br />Town Center, multimodality (bicycling and <br />other micromobilit)6 transit). <br />• Traffic congestion, pedestrian safety. <br />• Green space, open space, parks and <br />recreation opportunities. <br />• Water and sewer infrastructure capacity. <br />• School capacity. <br />• Stormwaterflooding problems (specifically <br />the commercial parking lot behind the <br />former Epicure site and 172nd Street). <br />DOES THE CURRENT TOWN CENTER VISION REMAIN RELEVANT? <br />SHOULD THE. CITY KEEP THE OVERLAY DESIGNATION? <br />Participants are, in principle, supportive of maintaining the Town Center Overlay <br />designation in the Comprehensive Plan. However, they don't feel particularly <br />strongly about this either way, primarily because there is a sense that the vision <br />depicted in the Comprehensive Plan for the area are out of date and impractical. <br />The main interest is in ensuring that, whatever the final policy and regulatory <br />decisions for this area may be, they do not exacerbate the existing quality of life <br />challenges and negative impacts. <br />Source: Pop -Up outreach, Listening Session, online Survey <br />66 City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />J <br />
