Section 27. Amendment to Chapter 223 of the City Code. Chapter 223 of the City Code is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br />§ 223-6. - Procedure for handling identifiable shopping carts found on public <br />property. <br />A. Employees and officers of the City of Sunny Isles Beach shall be deemed agents of the City <br />and any shopping carts found by them on public property during the course of their official <br />duties shall be reported to the CityDevelopment Services <br />Department. <br />B. The owner's failure to retrieve any shopping carts from the City right-of-way shall cause the <br />shopping carts to be removed by the City. The City Public Works Department shall remove <br />the shopping cart(s) from the public right-of-way upon receipt of an interdepartmental request <br />from the Cock Enf reement and Lieetis:^o Development Services Department or as may be <br />necessary to aid in the enforcement of this chapter. <br />C. The City Public Works Department shall collect the shopping carts and transport same to the <br />Miami -Dade Solid Waste Transfer cite, as may be designated by the Miami -Dade Solid <br />Waste Department, for storage. <br />D. The Director of the Cede Enfbf, etnent a+id Lice .sing Development Services Department or <br />his designee may shad notify the owner of the shopping cart(s), in writing, of the transfer to <br />the Miami -Dade Solid Waste Transfer site. <br />Section 28. Amendment to Chapter 231 of the City Code. Chapter 231 of the City Code is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Chapter 231 - SOLID WASTE <br />ARTICLE II — Dumpsters <br />§ 231-30. - Specifications, materials and location of enclosure. <br />H. All dumpsters and trash receptacles must comply with this article except for the following: <br />(1) Dumpsters/receptacles located in properly screened service yards. (Those screened <br />from public ways with a minimum six-foot high fence and/or suitable dense landscaping, <br />as approved by !`ode Enf r-eeme t Administrator- the Director of Development Services). <br />The dumpsters/receptacles must not be visible from the public's view. <br />Section 29. Amendment to Chapter 234 of the City Code. Chapter 234 of the City Code is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Chapter 234 - STORAGE UNITS <br />ARTICLE I - Placement of Temporary Units <br />27 <br />
