Response to Invitation to Bid <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />Motor Coach Transportation <br />Invitation to Bid No. 21-03-02 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Our Risk Manager is a member of The Bus Industry Safety Council and Commercial Vehicle <br />Safety Alliance (CVSA). The CVSA is the international premier organization, which is the <br />authority of regulatory, and safety issues in the non -rail ground transportation industry. <br />Attended by all federal, state, and local law enforcemen t, the CVSA is the forum where <br />industry and law enforcement work together to ensure public safety. <br />We also utilize programs developed by the National Transit Institute (established at Rutgers <br />University) to supplement our training of both Operators and man agement. <br />Academy constantly monitors driver performance. Our experience has shown that a <br />consistent review of our driver’s performance along with on-going training programs results in <br />a better qualified driver pool then to establish generic testing which does not consider unique <br />circumstances that may be affecting a driver’s ability to focus on his/her job. We meet, <br />individually; with each driver who we feel has a concern. We have found that personal life <br />issues and concerns can impact safety equally or more than technical ability. <br />Our most current US DOT Safer System company profiles are available on the Internet at <br />www.safersys.org our profiles are available by company name or US DOT number.
