Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting May 15.2014 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida testing to support it, and so the test has to be run from a safety standpoint and from a useful life standpoint. He doesn't see any other way around it. Vice Mayor Aelion moved and Commissioner Levin seconded a motion to approve the resolution. Resolution No. 2014-2238 was adopted by a voice vote of 4-0-1 (Commissioner Scholl absent) in favor. 10F. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida,Approving the Purchase of 21 Additional Decorative Street Signs-a-nil Posts from GraphPlex Signs, in an Amount Not to Exceed $5,160.00, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. Action: [City Clerk's Note:A revised Resolution and Cover Memo were distributed prior to the meeting.] City Clerk Hines read the title, and Assistant City Manager Bill Evans reported. Vice Mayor Aelion noted the revision,and Assistant City Manager Evans said yes this is for posts only not signs. Resolution No.2014-2239 was adopted by a voice vote of 4-0-1 (Commissioner Scholl absent) in favor. 10G. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida,Authorizing the City Manager to Expend up to $65,000.00 with Franklin Dodd Communications to Provide Printing Services for the City in Fiscal Year 2013/2014;Further Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Cultural and Community Services Director Susan Simpson reported this is a printing company for our publications. We have used them already this year. We put it out to bid and they did come in as the lowest bidder. This amount would include what we already expended plus what we expect to expend the remainder of this fiscal year.
