Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting April 17,2014 City of Sunny Isles Beach.Florida <br /> 9C. An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending <br /> Chapter 62 "Purchasing" Section 62-13 to Clarify that Purchases Made through <br /> Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Arrangements or Purchasing Consortiums <br /> Organized as a Corporation Not For Profit Whose Members are Governmental Entities <br /> are Permitted Provided that Such Consortiums Provide for a Competitive Process for <br /> the Selection of a Vendor; Providing for Severability; Providing for Inclusion in the Code; <br /> Providing for Repeal of Conflicting Provisions; and Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> (First Reading 03/20/14) <br /> Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Finance Director Audra Curts-Whann reported <br /> that we want the ability to use Purchasing Consortiums as another tool in our Purchasing <br /> Department. When we look at any Consortium that we consider using,the intention here will <br /> always be to verify that there is a competitive process before we utilize that Consortium. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Vice Mayor Aelion said to make it clear, regardless of the adoption of this Ordinance, the <br /> process of bidding will go forward, and Finance Director Curts-Whann said that is correct. <br /> Commissioner Scholl moved and Vice Mayor Aelion seconded a motion to adopt the <br /> Ordinance on second reading. Ordinance No.2014-424 was adopted by a roll call vote <br /> of 5-0 in favor. <br /> Vote: Commissioner Gatto yes <br /> Commissioner Levin yes <br /> Commissioner Scholl yes <br /> Vice Mayor Aelion yes <br /> Mayor Edelcup yes <br /> 10. RESOLUTIONS <br /> 10A. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Revising <br /> the Extension Fee for Useful Life of Transfer of Development Rights ("TDRS"); <br /> Providing the City Manager and the City Attorney with the Authority to Do All Things <br /> Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> Action: [City Clerk's Note:A revised Resolution was distributed prior to the meeting. This <br /> item was heard with related Item 7E1 City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Attorney <br /> Ottinot reported. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Vice Mayor Aelion moved and Commissioner Scholl seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution,as amended. Resolution No.2014-2220 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in <br /> favor. <br /> 10 <br />
