<br />01010 - 1/3 <br />SECTION 01010 - SUMMARY OF WORK <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 SUMMARY: This section summarizes the Work of the Project as covered in detail in the <br />complete Contract Documents. This is a general summary and is not intended to be <br />complete and all inclusive of the required Work items. <br />1.02 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br />The work includes the CONTRACTOR furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, <br />incidentals and service necessary for the construction of approximately 12,000 linear <br />feet of main conduit duct bank, numerous lateral conduit duct banks, spare conduits for <br />city of Sunny Isles, and equipment pads for the conversion of FPL, AT&T, and Atlantic <br />Broadband services from overhead to underground Utilities. Work includes setting of <br />concrete pads for FPL transformers and Vista Switch Cabinets, Manholes, Handholes, <br />splice boxes provided by FPL. Upon completion of ductbank installation, roadways <br />throughout the neighborhood are to be milled and resurfaced. Equipment and conduit <br />for FPL to be provided by FPL for installation by contractor. <br />In addition, there are two sub-projects included as part of the project, one for Additional <br />Sidewalk along Atlantic Avenue connecting to Collins, the other for enhancements to the <br />Urban Walkway project along Collins between 189th Street and 191st Street. Plans for <br />each are included. <br /> <br />A. including testing, traffic control, site restoration, sod, landscaping and driveway <br />restoration to match existing conditions; and all other appurtenant and <br />miscellaneous and incidental items and work for a complete, functional and <br />satisfactory installation of the project as shown on the drawings. <br /> <br />B. The project is located as shown on the Key Sheet of the Drawing Set. Refer to the <br />Contract Documents for the exact locations of the construction work. <br />1.03 RELATED CONTRACT ACTIVITIES: <br />A. The Contractor shall comply with all Municipal, County, State and Federal laws, rules <br />and regulations applicable to the work and the execution of the work. <br />B. The Contractor shall review the existing permits for this project and secure all <br />necessary additional permits for the execution of the work, including but not limited to <br />permits from the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br />C. The Contractor shall employ and pay for a Land Surveyor registered in the State Of <br />Florida to establish all elevations, lines and levels, and preparation of as-builts. <br />D. The Contractor shall be responsible for prompt notification to the Owner and timely <br />field repairs in the event that the Contractor damages any of the Owner’s existing <br />properties or overhead/ underground utilities. <br />E. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining the necessary storage/staging <br />areas for materials and equipment. The Contractor shall coordinate deliveries in <br />accordance with the construction schedule and these specifications, so that <br />materials do not pose an unnecessary long-term nuisance to motorists or residents. <br />Excavated materials and/or backfill materials shall not be stored in the roadway right- <br />of-way for more than 24 hours.
