<br />01010 - 2/3 <br />must be stockpiled within the staging area. Materials unsuitable for backfill must be <br />removed and disposed off immediately. <br />1. Wherever possible, open trenches must be backfilled/plated, and barricades <br />removed while maintaining adequate safety measures. <br />2. Streets must be graded/leveled to provide reasonable assurance against <br />personal injury, vehicle damage, etc. <br />3. Streets temporarily restored, as described above, must be regularly <br />maintained. For example, streets must be watered, new potholes filled and <br />disturbed and adjacent paved streets swept. <br />F. The Contractor shall employ and pay for the services of an independent testing <br />laboratory to perform quality control services on work performed by the contractor. <br />G. There is no available Geotechnical Investigation Report for this project. Subsurface <br />conditions are considered unclassified. If Contractor requires confirmation of <br />subsurface conditions, arrangements for testing can be coordinate directly with the <br />City prior to submittal of bids. <br />1. The Contractor has responsibility to familiarize themselves with the subsurface <br />conditions that may affect cost, progress, and performance of work, prior to <br />submitting their bid. <br />1.04 WORK PERFORMED BY OTHERS: <br />A. The City of Sunny Isles Beach or other contractors may perform work on the existing <br />water distribution system or public utilities as part of their maintenance and <br />operations. The Contractor shall conduct its operations so as to cause a minimum of <br />interference with the work of such other contractors and/or public utilities, and shall <br />cooperate fully to provide continuous safe access to their respective portions of the <br />site to perform their respective contracts. <br />1.05 CONTRACTOR'S USE OF PREMISES: See General Condition. <br />1.06 WORK SEQUENCE, COORDINATION ACTIVITIES AND SCHEDULED DATES: <br />A. General: Work under this contract shall be scheduled and performed in such a <br />manner as to result in the least possible disruption to driveway access. The <br />CONTRACTOR will coordinate its work with other adjacent contractors, landowners, <br />residents and City activities, with specific attention to access and staging areas. <br />Construction sequence shall be determined by CONTRACTOR subject to the <br />following needs for continuous access and operation by others. <br />1. The work will be performed in residential/commercial neighborhoods. The <br />CONTRACTOR shall reasonably minimize the inconvenience to the residents <br />and property owners, and reasonably maximize the safety of the residents: <br />2. MOT plan to be updated, approved and implemented as necessary. All open <br />trenches and excavations shall be closed or covered, and be in good driving <br />condition with permanent asphalt, at the end of each work day. CONTRACTOR <br />cannot proceed with the construction in more than one street at the same time, <br />unless approved otherwise. <br />3. The work shall be conducted to maintain access to existing driveways at all <br />times. <br />
