Hines — City Clerk <br />RE: Emergency Debris Clearing and Removal Operations I TB No. 14 -06 -02 <br />Dear Ms. Hines, <br />AshBritt, Inc. (AshBritt) is pleased to have the opportunity to respond to the City of Sunny Isles Beach ITB <br />for Emergency Debris Clearing and Removal Operations. Given the extended success in our industry, <br />experience management team, Hurricane Wilma and Katrina experience in South Florida, availability of <br />resources, and proximity to the City of Sunny Isles Beach, we believe we are uniquely positioned to be <br />selected as the City's Emergency Debris Clearing and Removal Operations contractor. <br />AshBritt has a thorough understanding of the scope of services delineated in the fTB. Presented within this <br />bid is our understanding of the scope of services and an overview of our comprehensive capabilities. In the <br />following bid, we will cover the General Operations plan. We have also provided a Company Overview, <br />Past Performance and Capabilities section, and a summary of our Technical Approach and Methodology: <br />Company Overview <br />AshBritt is a South Florida based company which has been in the disaster recovery industry since 1992. <br />AshBritt maintains a core staff of approximately 40 persons, half of which are experienced Operations <br />40 Managers, who have been working together for over ten years. We have multiple Operations Managers and <br />Project Managers who reside in South Florida that will be immediately mobilized prior to an event and <br />ready to assist the City of Sunny Isles Beach during the post -event response and recovery phase. In the <br />event AshBritt is activated in the City of Sunny Isles Beach, we have identified Ralph Dahlgren as your <br />Operations Manager. Ralph has previously worked in the South Florida region on many occasions, most <br />notably; Hurricane Wilma in 2005. Tim Mooney has been identified as the Project Manager. Tim, Ralph, <br />and our CEO Randy Perkins all grew up in and around the Sunny Isles Beach Area and have a complete <br />and thorough understanding of the jurisdiction. In addition to our staff our contractors are; knowledgeable, <br />skilled, and trained to effectively contribute to any disaster recovery project. All have worked on past <br />AshBritt projects and possess other relevant recovery experience making them essential members to our <br />team. <br />L_ <br />Past Performance and Capabilities <br />We have collected over 50 million cubic yards of debris since 1992 while responding to 217 missions in 16 <br />states. Although we have no current missions. AshBritt recently completed disaster recovery services for <br />five counties in South Carolina and the City of Augusta Georgia following the Severe Winter Storm event <br />in February of 2014. In 2012 following Hurricane Sandy, AshBritt was activated in more than 60 <br />jurisdictions in the states of New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, Maryland, and Virginia. During this <br />mission, we collected 3.5 million cubic yards of debris in all jurisdictions.
