ASHBRITT, INC. RESPONSE TO THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FL '
<br />INVITATION TO BID NO. 14 -06-02 EMERGENCY DEBRIS CLEARING AND REMOVAL OPERATIONS
<br />for AshBritt's Hurricane Sandy debris mission. In this capacity, he provided project leadership on all project
<br />activities from project personnel and subcontractor management and assignments scheduling, documentation and
<br />reporting as well as a host of other duties. This was the most diverse response in terms of combined tasks for
<br />special debris under one contract. In summary, it entailed the removal and disposal of approximately 3 million
<br />cubic yards of debris, operating 42 debris management sites for 54 clients that covered a geographic area of 1,800
<br />square miles. Over 1,700 trucks were employed throughout the course of the mission. The mission included task
<br />orders to remove stray and abandoned vessels, sand screening, and substantial quantities of household hazardous
<br />waste, e- waste, and white goods. Dow was instrumental in managing our field and support staff, as well as
<br />interfacing with the state to ensure that this task was completed in an efficient, safe and respectful manner.
<br />Rob Ray — Senior Vice President. Rob Ray has over 20 years of Business Development and Customer Service
<br />management experience, with specific experience in environmental contracting, foreign relations contracting and
<br />safety training management. He currently serves as the Sr. Vice President, managing Client Relations throughout
<br />multiple states. Rob first collaborated with AshBritt, as part of a joint venture in 2003, as an Operations Manager
<br />for several large scale hazardous fire fuels reduction projects that included high volume Hazardous Tree Removal
<br />in San Diego County, San Bernardino County, and Riverside County, California. In 2005, Rob served as both a
<br />Senior Project Manager and as the Operations Manager for the USACE Hurricane Katrina State of Mississippi
<br />recovery operations, coordinating and assisting in organizing over 1,000 subcontractors for disaster recovery
<br />operations in 16 counties. During Rob's tenure, he has demonstrated outstanding abilities to develop and
<br />implement improved policies and procedures, resulting in efficient and productive disaster recovery missions.
<br />Rob is instrumental in planning and executing innovative project strategies and is considered an esteemed
<br />professional in the disaster. recovery industry. Rob has managed more than 25 disaster recovery projects and
<br />continues to surpass client expectations and project goals through his effective management and operational
<br />expertise. He also provides Public Assistance training as well as subject matter expertise presentations to clients
<br />throughout the Texas and California territories as well as most of AshBritt's pre - positioned state contracts around
<br />the country. Most recently, Rob served as Senior Project Manager in charge of overall project operational
<br />® management for the City of Augusta after the February 2014 Winter Storm Pax. Rob successfully managed the
<br />removal and disposal of over 700,000 cubic yards of vegetative debris in less than 45 operational days. He also
<br />setup and deployed more than 85 crews, operated 6 DMS locations and mitigated more than 26,000 hazardous
<br />trees and limbs from public property throughout the city.
<br />Matt Gierden —Fite President. Matt offers more than 15 years of accomplishment -laden experience in disaster
<br />recovery projects, special environmental operations, client development, customer service, and public relations.
<br />He is a strategic contributor in numerous efforts that have driven the successful completion of major and high -
<br />priority disaster response and recovery initiatives that substantially impact the company's revenue and growth.
<br />Over the years, Matt has established a reputation as a decisive leader who expertly enhances the capabilities of
<br />the organization. He handles new challenges with his intrinsic knack for innovation, problem- solving, and
<br />change management. Equipped with an enthusiastic attitude and exceptional people skills, he successfully
<br />maintains a myriad of client relationships throughout Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Prior to
<br />his appointment as vice president in 2013, Matt initially served as an entry-level field supervisor in 2002 and
<br />was immediately promoted to project manager and later to a regional manager. Matt's aggressive and visionary
<br />style has significantly enhanced the company to thrive in a variety of geographic areas and demanding disaster
<br />recovery environments. His ever - expanding portfolio of successful projects includes more than 40 Federal
<br />Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) disaster recovery projects. His most recent contribution was providing
<br />strategic direction as the Senior Project Manager for the recovery efforts in South Carolina from Winter Storm
<br />Pax that affected that area February 12th, 2014. As Senior Project Manager in charge with overall project
<br />operational responsibility, AshBritt collected, processed, and disposed of more than 350,000 cubic yards of
<br />vegetative debris and mitigated more than 50,000 hazardous trees and limbs from public property. This included
<br />the deployment of more than 40 crews and the setup of 5 DMSs for storm - generated debris throughout the 5
<br />county projects (Hampton, Georgetown, Sumter, Colleton and Marion Counties).
