COM

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

CPZ has experience with a variety Projects in South Florida. CPZ Architects has experience with Municipal
projects, Community Centers, Public Works Fleet Maintenance Buildings, both new and renovated and
renovations of existing libraries, Facility Needs Assessments, Space Programming. The continued experience
we have gained has provided us with an understanding of the Owner and the pride of Ownership for your
own building and Image. We will provide a Space needs Assessment Report to ensure your building and City
departments function well, has built in flexibility and present an image to both the public and your personnel
that is warm and friendly and integrates into an existing built environment.

As we review your project there will many challenges, however, with our past experience we will be able to
resolve them smoothly. The most challenging may be building consensus among all the stake holders and city
commission. We see our job as the firm that will provide clear and concise information about Assessment that
can be easily understood by everyone. We have created a team of experts from that can respond and review
every component and present the information in a comparable report.

As stated in the Executive Summary our experience with Space Needs Assessment has given CPZ a unique
understanding of the requirements for your Space Needs and Feasibility Study. CPZ will view your Facility
not just as a building but a Campus complex that houses many different services and departments. Specific
requirements such as different vehicle sizes and their need for service (in house or outside of the facility),
coordination of multi-functional departments and their need to all work together in a efficient and functional
capacity.

The greatest testament to the quality of our service can be seen in our
repeat Clients. Coral Springs has been utilizing CPZ Architect over
the past 15 years in developing, implanting and expanding their Public
Works Facility. Recently we worked with Coral Spring in determining
the need to purchase an adjacent building and utilize it for more and
better space. The review proved that this was a beneficial purchase.
When presented to the City Commission is was unanimously
approved.

Similar to the work CPZ is doing with the City of Coral Springs, The
City of Delray Beach Police Department hired CPZ to complete a
needs and assessment study of their existing Police Department
Facilities to determine if the existing building could be renovated or
based on the results of the assessment report build a new Police
Facility. CPZ Architects has completed a needs assessment of the
Delray Beach Police Station outlining their current needs and
providing an estimate of the future space needs for the next 10 years.
A conceptual master plan was developed for two possible solutions to
their space needs along with budgetary estimates. Option 1 included
using the existing facility and expanding around the facility along with
construction of parking garage. The second option was to construct a
completely new multi-story facility on the back part of the site, while
maintaining operation in the existing facility. Upon competition of the
new facility, demolish the existing facility and construct the new
parking garage. CPZ Architects has now been retained to provide a
needs assessment for the City Hall and Community Center Site.
