COM <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CPZ Architects, Inc. was selected to provide design, permitting, planning, <br />engineering and construction administration services for a new facility to <br />consolidate Port Everglades Facilities Maintenance and Operations from <br />the current functions that are located within various buildings throughout <br />the Port Everglades campus into a central location. The Project is <br />intended to take place in three phases. The first phase was the <br />programming phase. The second phase will be the design and preparation <br />of construction documents and permitting phase. The third phase will be <br />the construction of the facility. <br /> <br />CPZ Architects provided full architectural design services for Glades <br />Park which included a 9,000 sf Community Center. CPZ had the pleasure <br />of working with the City of Doral on their brand new $10.5 million <br />Glades Park & Nature Center Building project. The Nature Center’s tall <br />glass walls were oriented to the North to maximize daylight use with less <br />heat gain. Other architectural features include a large dedicated vaulted <br />ceiling nature exhibit room, large, vaulted ceiling multipurpose room <br />with moveable wall partitions., catering room, science lab classroom for <br />children, e-library, vaulted ceiling lobby area, projection room, remotely controlled lighting and VRF air <br />conditioning systems and outdoor Amphitheatre with its stage edging the 12-acre Lake. Doral Glades Park <br />took Honorable Mention at the 2019 Fort Lauderdale Chapter American Institute of Architecture Design <br />Awards. This Facility is Green Globes certified (2 Globes). <br /> <br />Harden and renovated the existing three story 45,000 <br />square foot Coral Springs Police Station and add a <br />new 11,500 square foot two story addition for Fire <br />Administration and Emergency Operation Center. <br />CPZ worked closed with Larry DeRose formerly <br />with DeRose Design Consultants which included <br />new impact resistant windows and doors, new roof <br />and any structural repairs that needed to bring the <br />building up to current code. <br /> <br />The City of Coral Springs decided to renovate the interior of the Police Station building with the extra 4 million <br />left over from the budget. Interior renovations include new HVAC, new fire sprinklers, new finishes, new paint, <br />new lighting, and reconfiguration of spaces to meet the police department’s needs. Full re-configuration of their <br />existing seven-acre secure site. Site work included state of the art security gating and monitoring systems, re- <br />configuration of parking areas, full landscape work and the creation of attractive and functional exterior <br />gathering spaces to add to the planned spaces to add to the planned new City Corridor along Sample Road and <br />Coral Springs Drive. Construction cost during bidding estimated at 12 million bids came in at 8 million. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
