CPZ Architects has completed a needs basement of the Delray Beach Police Station outlining their current needs and providing an estimate of the future space needs for the next 10 years. A conceptual master plan was developed for two possible solutions to their space needs along with budgetary estimates. Option 1 included using the existing facility and expanding around the facility along with construction of parking garage. The second option was to construct a completely new multi-story facility on the back part of the site, while maintaining operation in the existing facility. Upon competition of the new facility, demolish the existing facility and construct the new parking garage. CPZ Architects has now been retained to provide a needs assessment for the City Hall and Community Center Site. <br />2018 2019 <br />Broward County Consulting Services for Consolidated <br />Facilities Maintenance Building <br />2017 TBD <br />City of Coral Springs City Hall Programming, Coral Springs, Florida CONSTRUCTION (If applicable) <br />2019 2023 <br /> BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE X Check if project performed with current firm <br />The Delray Beach City Hall and Community Center Needs Assessment is a study project, in conjunction with Carnahan, Proctor and Cross. We are the space study entity of the project where CPC will provide the Survey of the existing facility. We are directed to define the current use of the facility then determine the future needs of the Complex as it stands today or the potential of consolidating the current users and additional users into a City Center concept. New 365 Car Garage. <br />The Port Everglades Department of Broward County intends to construct a new facility to consolidate Port Facilities Maintenance and Operations from the current functions that are located within various buildings throughout the Port Everglades campus into a central location. This Project is intended to locate this new facility within the physical boundary of Port Everglades on property currently owned by Broward County. Design, permitting, and construction of the Project is intended to take place in phases. The first phase will be the programming phase. The second phase will be the design and preparation of construction documents and permitting phase. The third phase will be the construction of the facility during such a time that construction activities won’t interrupt port operations, including but not limited to, traffic, taxi movement and staging, stores truck staging and movement and other vehicle operation that could potentially impact the port’s ability to service its clients and maritime operations. <br />X <br />CPZ Architects worked with the City of Coral Springs to create program projections, evaluate the prospect of public and private partnerships, and develop a multi-facility redevelopment plan for the relocation of the city’s City Hall. CPZ created a questionnaire to review the needs, both present and projected, for each of the city’s departments. Utilizing existing building drawings, we created a diagrammatic plan depicting department office layouts and zoning. The City is still working with this information to determine the feasibility of relocating and redevelopment. <br />Delray Beach City Hall Assessment Study, Delray Florida <br />(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) <br />Port St. Lucie Needs Assessments, Port St, Lucie , Florida <br />2009 2009 <br />A complete assessment of 10 acre Port Saint Lucie Public Works Facility was conducted. This includes four buildings encompassing the administration offices, vehicle repair, vehicle canopies, central stores and warehouse space. The City provided all the current and future staffing needs, as well as all equipment. We reviewed the current spaces provide for all activities to development a matrix of staff and space requirements. A complete site survey and environmental assessment was completed. This provided a current and accurate based to develop the redevelopment of the facility. The finish floor elevations of all buildings were recorded and compared to the current flood maps for the County to determine if potential flooding was a concern. All buildings were structurally reviewed for the ability to resist current wind loads. The evaluation resulted in the replacement of the existing buildings so allow them to function after an emergency event.The new site plan considered all of the assessment findings and allowed for the development of a secure, essential facility and an efficient layout fhe complex.
