The existing Public Works Building is a metal building that does not meet current hurricane code. Since this is a public works facility the city needed to keep this facility in operation at all times. The most economical way to keep this facility in operation is to design a new building in another location on the site. Based on the city’s funding and budget the project was designed in phases. This Building contains Labs and a Control Room that overlooks the plant operations and is proposed to be directly connected to the tanks and filtrations systems through overhead walkways/ bridges. The city wanted to redevelop the entire site with new building structures for the Administration offices and several accessory buildings to the Water Treatment plant in a way that its operation is not affected during construction. $35 million. <br />Tamarac Control Building, City of Tamarac, Florida <br />Westside Maintenance Facility Master Plan, Coral Springs, Florida <br />Westside Fire Administration & Fire Rescue , Coral Springs, Florida <br />(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) <br />2019 2023The existing building and proposed building additions will be designed as an essential facility to withstand 210 mph wind loads. This building will serve as an EOC during a hurricane event. The entire building will be on a 100% emergency back-up generator to run the building for 72 hours continuous during a state of emergency. The site has been designed to accommodate fire rescue trucks and semi-trucks. A concrete apron will be designed at exterior ends of the Fire truck repair bays. There are also fire truck parking located at NW corner of the site. Parking is provided for visitors and Fire Administration and Fire Academy at East side (Main entrance) of the building, and parking for Fleet and Central Stores are along the west, north and south side of the building and overflow parking. Phases consist of pre-design- programming and schematic design. Other projects for Broward County Jayson is working on are the Restrooms for West Lake Park, Tree Tops Park, Markham Park and Trade winds Park and playgrounds for Ty park and West Lake Park. <br />Coral Springs Public Safety Complex, City of Coral Springs, Florida <br />Comprehensive 3-phase renovation, expansion and hurricane hardening of existing 60,000 SF facility, including new 2-story, 11,000 SF addition for state-of-the-art Emergency Management and Fire Department operations. Project involved complete reconfiguration of the complex’s 7-acre site to expand parking space and provide new site security and emergency generator system. Phase III involved 3 floors of tenant improvements and upgrading the building with new automatic sprinkler and HVAC systems. New facilities also include a 9,800-square foot LEED Certified Gold Fire Station, the only one of its kind in Broward County. $8 million
