<br />EXPERIENCE
<br />Ludovic Binner is a senior structural engineer with experience in structural design, wind
<br />frame analysis, calculations, special inspections, and construction administration for
<br />projects in the United States and France. He has worked on a variety of projects
<br />including multi-level hotels and resorts, educational facilities, community centers,
<br />sports arenas, park facilities, performing arts buildings, and marine facilities structures.
<br />Ludovic is experienced has experience as a project manager on both private and public
<br />sector work, leading intensive coordination between engineering disciplines,
<br />consultants, and clients.
<br />REPRESENTATIVE PROJECT EXPERIENCE
<br />City of Coral Springs, Public Safety Building and Fire Station, Coral Springs, FL.
<br />Project structural engineer for design of an expansion of and addition to a three-story
<br />building incorporating structural hardening to comply with emergency operation center
<br />uprated wind design criteria. Responsibilities included structural analysis of the existing
<br />structure combined with hardening system and other alterations; design and
<br />proportioning of gravity and lateral load capacity versus increased demand for
<br />programmed use and hurricane event; designed lightweight composite deck, structural
<br />steel framing, and rooftop superstructures; prepared project specifications and
<br />construction drawings; provided various engineering services during construction,
<br />including response to RFIs, shop drawing review, coordination meetings, repair
<br />sketches, recommendations, and special inspections. Tasks included constructing new
<br />prestressed joists and concrete decks including infill floors, replacing light frame curtain
<br />wall with reinforced masonry, and strengthening structural steel roof framing and
<br />decking.
<br />City of Weston, Emergency Operations Building, Weston, FL. Structural engineer for
<br />the design of a new three-story, 21,600-square-foot municipal building that hosts a
<br />range of public services including building and zoning, code enforcement, fire marshal,
<br />fire code services, information technology, and city personnel offices. Design elements
<br />included reinforced concrete masonry walls, prestressed concrete floor, and roof joists
<br />with concrete floor and roof slabs, including housing chillers and emergency generators.
<br />Broward County, Edgar P. Mills Multi-Purpose Center and Garage, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
<br />Structural engineer for the design of a 50,000-square-foot, three-story facility and
<br />87,500-square-foot, 324-car, three-story parking structure. The building houses
<br />Broward County Social Services Departments, which aids the elderly, families, veterans,
<br />and those most at risk. The project received LEED Silver certification.
<br />Broward County, Central Broward Regional Park, Lauderhill, FL. Structural engineer
<br />for a 5,000-seat, multi-purpose stadium and entertainment complex, aquatic facilities,
<br />and soccer fields with various supporting recreational fields/courts and pavilions.
<br />Responsibilities included design for the bleacher foundation and overhang canopy
<br />structure for the cricket stadium.
<br />Port Everglades Terminal 4 Parking Garage and Pedestrian Bridge, Fort Lauderdale, FL. Senior structural engineer/engineer-of-record for the parking garage and project
