BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (INCLUDE SCOPE, SIZE AND COST)
ADG was selected for the design of a new two-story, 24,000 SF Miramar Public
Safety Complex. The site originally housed the city’s civic center. ADG worked with
the city and CMAR to remove the existing city building to prepare the site for the
new public safety complex.
The project combines a police substation, crime lab, evidence storage, vehicle
evidence, and rolling assets into one building. It also provides space for
detectives’ offices, report writing area, interview room, SWAT briefing and storage,
locker room, public lobby, and surface lot to stage various public safety specialty
vehicles and impound.
To aid the department in their community involvement efforts, ADG designed a
general-use community room located off the lobby in the non-secure area of the
building. This room can be used by the public, as well as serve as a training room
for the department. Integrating these components into the police building will
enhance community relations and build trust within the department.
The project was designed and constructed to attain LEED Gold Certification and all
other necessary services for a complete delivery of the project.
25.
