BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (INCLUDE SCOPE, SIZE AND COST) <br />This project replaced an existing 5,133-SF city facility which was built in the <br />1960’s and no longer met the needs of the city’s law enforcement and emergency <br />communications personnel. Numerous improvements were required in order <br />to meet ADA requirements, CALEA Policing Standards, appropriate indoor air <br />quality, new public safety technology systems such as security, audio / visual <br />and communications systems improvements, and to extend law enforcement <br />capabilities to the growing city population. <br />The 13,200-SF police headquarters was designed to include police administration, <br />uniform patrol, communications / dispatch, criminal investigations division, <br />evidence, code enforcement, records, booking and intake, professional services, <br />and a small emergency operations center. Future expansion will include a K-9 <br />space and a rolling assets facility. <br />25.
