Our approach is set to develop plans that align with community and <br />economic development goals. More than ever, Cities have to do more with less and have to leverage available <br />resources to meet traditional economic development needs as well as broader community and beautification goals. <br />Our team has successfully led/supported numerous comprehensive and master planning efforts for municipalities <br />across the nation. We recognize the need to build upon existing systems, resources, and opportunities to create a <br />cohesive plan that identifies with the specific character of the locale and links transportation infrastructure with land <br />use and economic development planning. <br />Traffic Studies and Consultation <br />Traffic Studies <br />CALTRAN team has significant experience in Traffic <br />Studies as part of several similar projects, including City <br />of Miramar Traffic Consultant (traffic study of large <br />development such as Lennar Univision review, performing <br />signal warrant and left-turn warrant analyses, etc.). In <br />order to provide a thorough Traffic Analysis, CALTRAN <br />relies on the Comprehensive approach, which knowledge <br />was obtained through a variety of analyses performed <br />throughout the years. Our engineering services aim to <br />maintain an effective and cost-efficient circulation network <br />that provides transportation for all persons while reducing <br />both the dependency on automobiles and overall roadway <br />congestion. Based on the need, prior to conducting any study, a Methodology Meeting Statement will be arranged <br />with the developer/applicant and coordinated with the City for review and approval. The purpose of the Methodology <br />Statement is to establish and agree to the approach and assumptions prior to initiate the <br />study. Our methodology will address the following but no limited to: <br />• Description of land uses, site location, build-out schedule, and phasing <br />• Preliminary site plan <br />• Trip Generation <br />• Data Collection <br />• Internal Trip Captures, If applicable <br />• Background Traffic Growth Procedure <br />• Trip Distribution and Assignment <br />• Committed Developments <br />• Design Concerns <br />• Transportation Demand Management Plan <br />In the review of a Traffic Study for a given project, CALTRAN will expect an analysis of Existing Conditions, Build-out <br />year with Committed Development, and Build-out year with Committed Development and Project Traffic through the <br />following scenarios: <br />
