Request for Qualifications No. 21-11-01, Professional Planning and Zoning Consulting
Services, including Civil and Traffic Engineering for the City of Sunny Isles Beach

PAGE 19
Our experience includes many planning documents, and PD&E studies, along with environmental support for design,
design-build, construction, and maintenance projects. For PD&E studies, our scientists can complete the following
study components, along with the related reports: wetlands, protected species, essential fish habitat, water quality,
Section 4(f), noise, air, farmlands, and contamination screening evaluation. In addition, we have served as the
technical writers for the environmental document compilation for Categorical Exclusion, EA/FONSI, and EIS levels of
documentation. For design projects, we routinely lead the permitting efforts, including ERP, Section 404, sovereign
submerged lands coordination, and USCG Bridge Permits, along with wildlife agency coordination (USFWS, NMFS,
and FFWCC). In the construction arena, we have supported projects in the areas of wetlands, protected species, water
quality, permit compliance, and landscape inspection; we have also supported storm-related emergency contracts.
Coastal & Resiliency Services
Our staff will utilize the latest force formulas in the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials
(AASHTO) Guide Specifications for Bridges Vulnerable to Coastal Storms that allow users to calculate wave and surge
forces on bridge superstructures and a variety of pile-supported structures. Our experience in management, highways,
and major/complex bridge projects, interchange modifications, large multi-level interstate projects, and depressed
facilities and tunnels will facilitate resiliency services and studies.
