Request for Qualifications No. 21-11-01, Professional Planning and Zoning Consulting <br />Services, including Civil and Traffic Engineering for the City of Sunny Isles Beach <br /> <br /> PAGE 18 <br />Plans Preparation <br />CALTRAN will prepare a complete design package. Plans will be <br />designed to current City, County, FDOT Standards and FDM. Plans, <br />including pay items and quantities, cost estimates, computation sheets, <br />and construction plans at 30%, 60%, 90%, and/or signed and sealed <br />100% will be prepared and provided to City. CALTRAN will submit all <br />MicroStation or AutoCAD including 3D, survey files, and final plans set <br />properly signed and sealed. Plan sets also will be submitted in PDF <br />format via email for quick distribution. Drainage will prioritize providing <br />swales wherever possible and regrade existing swales to retain the <br />increased runoff stemming from the additional impervious area. Signing <br />and Pavement Markings will be designed as per the latest MUTCD. Our Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) will <br />account for all modes of transportation including vehicles, pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit. Regarding landscaping <br />and aesthetics, the natural and built environment will be critical in order to obtain residents’ approval. <br />Post-Design <br />CALTRAN will provide post-design support and services until final certification approval, including site visits during <br />construction (limited to visits normally carried out as Engineer of Record) and/or to respond to respond to requests for <br />information by the contractors (RFIs). Task will include monitoring efforts to achieve final certification by all stakeholders <br />and permit closings. CALTRAN will be present at the pre-bid meeting and is willing to respond any questions or give <br />clarifications during the bidding process, review, and approval of shop drawings. <br /> <br />Permitting <br />CALTRAN will ensure that sign plans will be permitted through the City and <br />stakeholders (FDOT, and SFWM). FDOT permitting process will require <br />familiarity with applications such OSP and ensuring that coordination with permit <br />offices occurs in a one-on-one basis as needed. <br />Environmental Support <br />Our team is committed to the principles of sustainability.
