CALTRAN Engineering Group, Inc. - 410 S. Ware Blvd., Suite 405, Tampa, Florida 33619
Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Florida International University,
2016
He is working as a Transportation Modeler and GIS Analysis Programmer. He experienced in conducting ArcGIS studies including developing a
methodology to use HERE travel data to show a selected performance measure on ArcGIS and Google Earth for Florida State Highway.
NW 154th Street Bridge Opening Study
CALTRAN Engineering Group provided Origin-Destination study and cursory subarea modeling to understand the implication of opening NW 154th
Street bridge over I-75 expressway in Miami-Dade County. CALTRAN used Streetlight data for the O-D analysis and Cube SERPM 8.0 to
understand the impact of the study overpass on the subarea network.
CALTRAN Engineering Group was selected by Charlotte County Department of Public Works to design a sidewalk master plan and project
prioritization. CALTRAN provided existing sidewalk inventory analysis, methodology to grade potential sidewalks considering Safe Routes to
School (SRTS) concepts, crash history, pedestrian and bicycle demand, etc. and provided prioritization strategies for potential sidewalks.
Conducted corridor feasibility study that required analysis of existing conditions, identification of recurrent congestion locations, evaluation of
improvements needs based on future travel demand. Evaluated multimodal needs along facility, identified conceptual improvements by providing
recommendations considering TSM&O techniques, future land uses, capital and operating cost effectiveness, and transit priority and Complete St.
Developed sidewalk master plan; visited and recorded existing sidewalk network, provided GIS-based map layer of current sidewalk network,
added future potential sidewalk segments to GIS layer; developed scoring system based on local knowledge, engineering judgment, similar
studies, citizen input from Board meetings considering several parameters including safety, crash record, walking/biking trip generators.
This project was conducted in two phases. First, using cellphone trip data by AirSage, an updated model with concentration on Flagler Street was
developed based on SERPM 6.5 model network and methodology. ArcGIS was used to create updated Traffic Analyses Zones. In the second
phase, a complete parking inventory data collection, parking utilization and turnover analysis was performed along the corridor to plan the parking
