<br />Location), Preliminary Engineering (Feasibility Studies, Conceptual Design, and PD&E), Environmental Studies,
<br />implementation ETDM, and Sociocultural Effects Studies. Contract fee: $1.5M
<br />Role: Chief Scientist.
<br />Prepare a set of contract documents including plans, specifications, supporting engineering analysis, calculations, and
<br />other technical documents in accordance with FDOT policy, procedures and requirements. Mr. Tonjes serves as Chief
<br />Scientist responsible for preparing Individual Environmental Resource permits, pre-application meetings with USACE
<br />and Water Management Districts, wetland jurisdictional lines, UMAM Assessments, coordination with agencies
<br />Reviewed in-house and consultant design plans, and inspected construction sites and mitigation areas to ensure
<br />compliance with environmental permit conditions and with commitments made in environmental documents.

<br />Mr. Tonjes wrote and administered the contract for monitoring and maintenance of district mitigation sites; determined
<br />tasks necessary for permit compliance. He administered the miscellaneous environmental services contract.
