The Contractor hereby acknowledges and agrees that no inspector shall have authority to: (a) Authorize any deviation from the Contract Documents or approve any substitute materials or equipment; (b) Undertake any of the responsibilities of the Contractor, subcontractors or Contractor's superintendent; (c) Expedite the Work for the Contractor; (d) Advise on or issue directions relative to any aspect of the means, methods, techniques, sequences or procedures of construction unless such is specifically called for in the Contract Documents; (e) Advise on or issue directions as to safety precautions and programs in connection with the Work- Provided however, this shall not preclude the City inspector from notifying the Contractor of any hazardous or dangerous condition; (0 Participate in specialized field or laboratory tests. 6.5 Coordination and Scheduling of Work 6.5.1 The Contractor shall cooperate with the City and any separate contractors retained by the City, and the Contractor shall carefully coordinate and schedule the Work as may be required to accommodate without delay or interference the Work of the City or any of its separate contractors. 6.6 Contractor Responsible for Delays 6.6.1 The Contractor shall be responsible for any damages caused to the City as a result of any delays caused by the Contractor. 6.7 Contractor Field Office and Storage. 6.7.1 The City agrees to provide Contractor with a field administration office and two (2) exterior storage areas for Contractor's use in connection with the Work at no cost to the Contractor. The Contractor, however, shall remain solely responsible for protection and safekeeping of equipment and materials at or near the sites, and no claim shall be made against the City by reasons of any act of an employee or trespasser. The Contractor will retain a frill set of contract documents in the field administration office including this document and current as - built plans available for the City's access at all times.
