EXTERNALLY ILLUMINATED SIGN —Any sign illuminated by <br />shielded electric lights (including reverse channel lighting and back- <br />lighting), which are not part of the sign. All externally illuminated <br />signs shall have the illumination device fully screened from view. <br />Proposed: Back -lit channel letter signs on existing wall structures. <br />2. § 265-63.1 Sign Ordinance Variance <br />§ 265-63.1(C) Review by the City Commission. The application for a variance <br />may be granted if the City Commission finds: <br />(1) The variance is not contrary to the public interest; <br />(2) Special conditions and circumstances do not result from actions of the applicant; <br />(3) A literal enforcement of the provisions of this chapter may result in unnecessary <br />hardship. <br />Comments: See attached Letter of Intent date stamped October 27th, 2021 and <br />addendum letter date stamp received November 22nd, 2021 for responses. <br />VI. STAFF FINAL ANALYSIS <br />Based on the above review, the application is complete and consistent with the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan and generally consistent with the City's Land Development <br />Regulations. The variance standards pursuant to Section 265-63.1(C) of the City Code <br />have been met and the proposed signage is minimal. <br />Staff has reviewed the variance application and is submitting this application for your <br />review with the following conditions stipulated below. <br />VII. CONDITIONS <br />If the City Commission approves this application, the application will be subject to the <br />following conditions. <br />Conditions to be completed before demolition, below grade or building permits are <br />issued: <br />(1) That the plans in the approval be substantially in accordance with that submitted for <br />public hearing, which are entitled "Drawings", prepared by Adwave Graphics Inc, <br />stamped received November 30th, 2021, consisting of 1 sheet and "Sketch of Boundary <br />Survey" prepared by ECS Land Surveyors, Inc. stamped received November 30th, 2021, <br />PZ2021-20 4 <br />14 <br />
