Bore Tech Utilities & Maintenance <br />RFP 22.04.01 <br />We will follow the City Ordinance 2021-564 ("Polystyrene Ordinance") prohibits <br />individuals and temporary vendors who are located on or operating on City Property or <br />a City Facility, as defined therein, from carrying or using expanded polystyrene food <br />service articles. In accordance with City's Polystyrene Ordinance, City contractors or <br />vendors shall not carry or use any products that violate the City's prohibition against <br />carrying or use of expanded polystyrene food service articles while utilizing the City's <br />Facility. Under the policy, we will not use Styrofoam food service articles in City facilities <br />or on City properties that are paid with City funds. We will not use or have on any City <br />facility plastic beverage straws as stated being prohibited beginning back on Jan 2, <br />2020. <br />We will contact all affected utility owners and determine the precise locations of all <br />utilities prior to beginning construction. Utility owners shall be contacted a minimum of <br />72 hours prior to the commencement of operations. Special care shall be used in <br />working around or near existing utilities, protecting them when necessary to provide <br />uninterrupted service. If any utility service is interrupted, the Contractor shall notify the <br />utility owner immediately and shall cooperate with the owner, or his representative, in <br />the restoration of service in the shortest time possible. Existing fire hydrants shall be <br />always kept accessible to fire departments. <br />We will always keep the premises free from accumulation of waste materials or rubbish <br />caused by his employees or the Work. Upon final completion of each Workday and <br />completion of the project and before acceptance and final payment will be made, we <br />will clean and remove from the site and adjacent property, all surplus and discarded <br />materials, rubbish, and temporary structures. We will restore in an acceptable manner <br />all property which, has been damaged during the execution of the work. We will leave <br />the site and vicinity unobstructed in a neat and presentable condition throughout the <br />entire area. <br />All cable and equipment will be installed in a neat and workmanlike manner. All methods <br />of construction that are not specifically described or indicated in the contract documents <br />shall be subject to the control and approval of the Owner. <br />All systems will be tested to include, conduit proofing, cabling continuity and splice loss, <br />compaction of disturbed earth, and any additional requirements set forth as a conditional <br />approval of permitting or as directed by permitting authority and the City of Sunny Isles. <br />Traffic Control and Safety <br />We will provide adequate temporary traffic control to ensure traffic safety during <br />construction activities. We will submit a traffic control plan to the appropriate public <br />works department and have the plan approved prior to starting any work in the right- of - <br />way. Safety devices, protective equipment, confined space protections, flaggers, police <br />officers and any other needed actions to protect the life, health, and safety of the public <br />5 <br />
