n <br />5.2.14. ADA COMPLIANCE: <br />(a) The machines being utilized for this contract shall be in compliance with <br />the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). <br />(b) The highest operable part of controls (coin slot, paper currency slot, <br />change dispenser, etc.) shall be a maximum of 48" high and the lowest <br />operable part shall be a minimum of 15" high. <br />(c) The controls shall be operable with one hand and not require tight <br />grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist. <br />(d) The force required to activate the controls shall not be greater than 5 <br />pounds of force (Ibf). <br />(e) Clear floor space (minimum of 30 inches by 48 inches) that allows a <br />forward or parallel approach by a person using a wheelchair shall be <br />provided at controls, dispensers etc. <br />Clear Floor Space <br />48 min <br />i22o <br />�. <br />ZZ <br />255 <br />67 <br />City of Parkland RFP 2021-03 Page 38 <br />
