The district is make <br />made up of two precincts: a 70 ha mixed-use <br />commercial hub atJurong Gateway and a 295 ha <br />vibrant world-class and family -friendly leisure <br />and recreation destination at Lakeside. <br />By adopting SSIMTM, AECOM developed <br />strategies to maximize sustainability <br />performance with optimal cost -benefit <br />parameters, and helped URA determine an <br />optimal sustainable development plan for the <br />District, integrating sustainable transportation, <br />building energy savings, water conservation <br />and ecological strategies into the high-density <br />district. <br />iii. The client: Miami -Dade County Parks, <br />Recreation and Open Spaces Department <br />ii. Description of work: AECOM was engaged by <br />Miami -Dade County to conduct an independent <br />economic analysis of proposals for the design <br />and operation of a large (approximately <br />241 acres) new destination attraction and <br />resort area near Miami, called the Zoo Miami <br />Entertainment Area (ZMEA), later named Miami <br />Wilds. <br />The destination had a variety of uses including <br />a major news studio -linked (20th Century Fox) <br />theme park, water park, hotel, conference <br />center, themed retail, live performance venue, <br />sports and events fields, and parking. AECOM <br />reviewed several proposals and advised the <br />client of interview questions and comments for <br />proposers. <br />M. Total dollar value of the contract: $108,986.00 <br />iv. Results of the project: AECOM assessed <br />comparables for each of these uses and <br />examined their potential market penetration, <br />attendance, and other factors to project <br />potential attendance atZMEA. These formed <br />the basis of an analysis of physical planning <br />parameters. The results were used to advise the <br />client on key negotiation points with prospective <br />partners. <br />AECOM also conducted financial analysis of <br />the alternatives, performed a lease and return- <br />on -investment analysis, and participated in <br />negotiations with selected proposers. <br />AECOM <br />
