An experienced landscape architect and dedicated project manager, Kelli Schueler provides planning, design, and project management services for a wide variety of project types through all phases of the development process. Her knowledge of the local environment, innovative technologies and sustainable best practices is combined with a creative approach that is detail oriented, ensuring designs are implemented both efficiently and accurately. <br />Fast Forward Fort Lauderdale Design & Construction, Fort Lauderdale, FL: KEITH has collaborated with Brooks + Scarpa to develop a manual setting the tone for future development with an emphasis on resilient planning and design. Key elements of the plan include assessment of sea level rise, mobility planning, landscape architecture elements, CPTED principles and over development patterns. KEITH provided planning, landscape architecture, and assistance with community/stakeholder input and research. Cost: $10,000.00
<br />Continuing Engineering, Landscape and Surveying Services, Pompano Beach, FL: KEITH continues to provide general engineering services to the City on an as-needed basis. Some projects provided under this contract include Municipal Reclaimed Water Main Design; Force Main Replacement Design; Pompano Beach Branch Library Renovations; Municipal Golf Course, Pier Renovations; SE 8th Court Bridge Replacement; Reuse Water Main Distribution System; Condition Assessments for various City-owned Buildings and Facilities; and Permitting Services for Municipal Chiller Plant. KEITH also provides general surveying and mapping services to the City on an as-needed basis. <br />DC Alexander Park, Fort Lauderdale, FL: DC Alexander Park in Fort Lauderdale Beach is the result of careful and thorough analysis of the site, its context - historic and present, its users, and the needs of the community. At over 1 acre in area prominently located on Fort Lauderdale Beach adjacent to the Aquatic Center and International Swimming Hall of Fame, the project includes a signature architectural overlook and playground within a plaza complete with resilient dune plantings and carefully planned stormwater infrastructure. The team lead by KEITH analyzed shoreline habitat and behavior while considering the unknown and inevitable – sea level rise and climate change. The project is a case study in practical and creative applications of storm water mitigation practices resulting in a design that reflects and embraces the social and economic needs of the local community. This award-winning project balances ‘design for people’ and ‘design with nature’ and is a testament to the value of comprehensive research, exploration, and analysis phases. The Park is anticipated to begin construction in 2022. Cost: $319,761.00
<br />Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Center Renovation, Fort Lauderdale, FL: Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Center Renovation, Fort Lauderdale, FL: The Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Center is situated on a man-made pier extending approximately 600 feet into the Intracoastal Waterway. The City of Fort Lauderdale and its CRA sought to renovate the facility and ensure it meets aquatic competition requirements. The intent of the project was to restore and upgrade the Aquatic Center, ensuring that it remains an icon of Fort Lauderdale Beach. KEITH provided surveying, subsurface utility engineering, planning, landscape architecture, and civil engineering services. The renovation included a new expanded FINA compliant competition pool, diving pool, instruction pool, a 27-meter iconic dive tower - the tallest in North America, a spa for divers,
