RFQ # 22-06-01 <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach Landscape Architectural Services <br />23 <br />LPOC36007.2022 <br />Continuing Services for <br />Kimley-Horn’s culture is structured to hire and retain highly motivated employees who exude pride and enthusiasm for the services we <br />provide. We have assembled an experienced and multidisciplinary consulting team with the proven ability to respond to every need for <br />the City of Sunny Isles Beach Landscape Architectural Services contract. Our team of landscape architects, planners, and engineers <br />can offer the City the technical resources of a nationally acclaimed organization, while simultaneously providing the personal service, <br />responsiveness, and local knowledge of a South Florida firm. Kimley-Horn offers the City a proactive, experienced consulting team that <br />will lead the process from kick-off to approval of the final design documents. <br />As Project Manager, George Puig, PLA, ASLA, will provide the leadership and creative passion to ensure an effective consensus- <br />driven process that reaches a successful conclusion. George has direct relevant experience with recent streetscape and landscape <br />architecture design projects. He has handpicked an experienced and creative team that has collaborated on many successful projects. <br />In addition to having relevant experience together, our team has the technical expertise to solve any technical challenge that may <br />arise, and our truly integrated approach creates an environment where our entire team and our clients collaborate not only to create a <br />great design, but also have fun along the way. Key team members are highlighted in more detail below: <br />George Puig, PLA, ASLA - With 32 years of professional practice in South Florida, George Puig is a registered <br />landscape architect with experience on several projects throughout the U.S., Latin America, and abroad, <br />within both private- and public sectors. George’s project knowledge has been built by his critical involvement <br />in master planning, urban design/streetscape, site development, and conceptual and final design for <br />resorts, hotels, single-family, multifamily, mixed-use, and entertainment/recreational facility projects. His <br />responsibilities include management of designers and planners, marketing, recruiting, team leadership and <br />project management, and ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service. <br />Matthew Wisniewski, PLA - Matthew has more than 17 years of experience in landscape architecture. His diverse <br />portfolio ranges from hospitality, mixed-use, and single-family developments to post-industrial landscapes, urban <br />waterfront parks, and planning for cultural institutions. He has extensive technical experience in grading and planting <br />design, drainage, soils, material detailing, and stormwater management. Additionally, Matthew has worked on several <br />oceanfront projects in Florida such as The Confidante Hotel in Miami Beach, as well as multiple projects in the Faena <br />District, including Faena Hotel Miami Beach, Faena House, Claridge Hotel, and Versailles Condominiums. <br />Aaron Buchler, P.E. - Aaron has 27 years of experience in land development, utility systems, and drainage design. He <br />also has extensive experience with the entitlements, regulatory agencies, and permitting processes in South Florida, <br />including South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) and Department of Environmental Resources Management <br />(DERM) permits. Aaron has served as project manager for more than 20 urban mixed-use projects within Miami, many <br />located on approximately two acres of land. Kimley-Horn’s work has typically included detailed grading due to space <br />constraints, drainage well design, and off-site improvements, including roadway redesign, water and sewer extensions, <br />and entitlements. <br />Jonathan Haigh, PLA, ASLA - Jonathan is a native of Palm Beach County and has 27 years of experience as a <br />practicing professional landscape architect. He is a skilled designer, with park-related project experience throughout the <br />southeast United States: eight community parks of 60 acres and greater, more than 20 passive parks of varying size, <br />and more than 50 miles of dedicated greenways. He has contributed, managed, and/or produced seven comprehensive <br />recreation master plans in five states. Implementing these plans and others, he has directed the preparation of <br />park-related construction drawings, detailing, and specifications. His experience is strongest in applying a practical <br />and budget-friendly, yet creative, design approach to each project. He has thoroughly embraced the application of <br />sustainable principles in project design and incorporating the design of Florida-friendly landscapes and water-efficient <br />irrigation systems.
