30Response to RFQ # 22-06-01 - Landscape DE
Construction Documents: Following completion of design development, the design team
will commence with the creation of documents for the permit and construction of designs.
Landscape DE can submit progress sets of drawings at desired intervals for review by the City.
Cost estimates will be updated again to reflect changes and detail updates. We take pride in
thoroughness of our documents and conduct rigorous reviews of the drawings to ensure a great
quality product.
Quality Control/Quality Assurance: All of our construction drawings are reviewed several
times by our team members during development of designs. We believe in comprehensive
design documents that explain design concepts clearly to constructors. We have worked to
refine our standard details over time, and we can also hire an outside reviewer if required by
city.
Dry-Run Permitting: The design team will submit drawing sets for permits as required.
We have had extensive experience submit drawings to various municipal zoning/building
departments. The drawings will be revised to meet municipal requirements and obtain approval.
Bidding and Contractor Selection: If desired, the design team can assist the client in finding
qualified contractors to bid on the designs and in selecting the contractor to construct the
designs. Landscape DE will also respond to any RFI's required during the bid period.
Construction Administration: If desired, the design team can provide construction
administration services. This includes review of contractor workmanship and materials.
We feel this is one of the most important phases in the design process. We prefer a hands-
on approach with frequent engagement with the contractor. Even the best construction
documents can be misinterpreted without proper guidance. Therefore, we try to be involved
in the construction of all our designs. and to establish a good working relationship with the
constructors and clients to ensure that the design is built correctly.
Post-Construction: The design team will perform project closeout and approvals.
Thank you very much for the opportunity to present this proposal. We look forward to talking
with you further about work with your city.
Project Approach
