| 17CONTINUING SERVICES FOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES | RFQ 22-06-01 <br />MCNAB PARK AND BOTANICAL GARDENS <br />Pompano Beach, FL <br />BA was commissioned by the City of Pompano Beach CRA to develop a Master Plan for <br />the redevelopment of the City’s existing McNab Park into a world class Botanical Gardens. <br />The BA Design Team developed several alternative schemes for presentation to the City <br />staff, elected officials and the adjacent community. The virtual presentation of the Plan <br />options attracted more than 100 participants from the community and covered a wide <br />variety of topics of concern to the neighbors. Although facing some initial opposition with <br />the possible removal of a playground and tennis courts, the preferred design solution <br />received wide-spread support from the community and elected officials. Follow up public <br />meetings were conducted to inform the neighborhood of the park’s progress and to <br />address concerns from neighbors. With minor modifications to the program, the final plan <br />will now be developed further with a full set of construction documents, cost estimates <br />and detailed specifications. <br />The project has already begun to stimulate redevelopment in the area of the City the CRA <br />had designated a new downtown core. <br />Client: <br />City of Pompano Beach CRA <br />Services: <br />Master Planning, Design, CD’s, Construction Administration, Landscape Architecture, Architecture
