36 | CONTINUING SERVICES FOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES | RFQ 22-06-01 <br />PJ Meli Park Master Plan, Dania Beach, FL <br />The approach outlined below will provide a logical and organized strategy to assure each assignment meets the City’s budget and design <br />expectations. These are the six key components to our approach. <br />Understanding the Site: <br />• A full analysis of the existing conditions of each project site and the surrounding community <br />• Review of all permitting issues related to the scope <br />• Understanding of local code requirements and land use regulations <br />Responding to the Users: <br />• Meet with stakeholders including local residents and property owners to understand their needs and concerns <br />• Meet with City officials to understand the project’s role in the City’s landscape <br />• Meet with City staff to understand the goals, objectives, vision, programming schedule and maintenance and operations issues <br />related to each project <br />• Conduct visioning workshops with stakeholders if appropriate <br />Developing the Vision: <br />• Developing and confirming design concepts envisioned by the City <br />• Developing creative solutions for maximizing the development opportunity of each assignment <br />• Accommodating and supporting modern technology and environmentally sustainable solutions sensitive to the context of each site <br />• Sustainable, user-friendly design that is timeless, easy to maintain and affordable <br />Facilitating Ongoing Community Input: <br />• Hosting interactive virtual public workshops <br />• Developing project awareness programs <br />• Encouraging social media connections <br />• Obtaining “buy-in” from the community
