Page 19Request for Qualifications # 22-06-01 Continuing Services for Landscape Architectural Services CCNA
3. Minimum Qualification Requirements b. Government Contracts
City of Tamarac Go-Forward Roadway Landscape Master
Plan Update
Tamarac, FL
City of Tamarac Commercial Boulevard Landscaping
Improvements
Tamarac, FL
Miller Legg provided the City of Tamarac with an update to its
citywide Roadway Landscape Master Plan. The project consisted
of creating a go-forward landscape roadmap guide that will
be implemented for years to come. Miller Legg conducted a
citywide tree inventory assessment, an evaluation of existing
landscape, irrigation and hardscape conditions, an overall
assessment of the existing character of the road corridors, and
an opportunities and constraints analysis. The overall goal was
to create a Landscape Master Plan that provides the City with
typical conceptual landscape concepts, recommendations,
guidelines, and implementation strategies to follow. The Master
Plan was unanimously adopted by the City Commission.
Start / Finish Date: 02/19 - 05/20
The City of Tamarac engaged Miller Legg to provide landscape
architectural and survey services for the existing medians
along 1.70 miles of West Commercial Blvd in Broward County
between North Pine Island Road and Sawgrass Expressway. In
addition to landscape architecture, a certified arborist report
and survey (including vacuum excavations) services, the Miller
Legg team provided lighting and electrical services, irrigation
design, permitting, and construction administrative services.
Coordination efforts with multiple agencies, such as the
Florida Turnpike Authority (FTE) and the South Florida Water
Management District (SFWMD), is included in the project scope.
Specific services for these roadway improvements entailed
providing a specific purpose survey showing only above-ground
improvements, compiling a 30% conceptual landscape and
lighting plan, and providing 100% construction documents for
irrigation, landscape, hardscape, lighting and electrical, and an
arborist assessment.
Start / Finish Date: 12/20 - 06/22 (est)
