Government Contracts <br />City of Oakland Park East Dog Park <br />Oakland Park, FL <br />City of Oakland Park NW 21st Avenue Streetscape <br />Oakland Park, FL <br />To assist with the City of Oakland Park’s plan to develop a 1-acre <br />Dog Park at the existing Richard Giusti Heart Par Cours Park, <br />Miller Legg was retained for topographic and tree surveying, <br />SUE, engineering and landscape architecture services as well <br />as an opinion of probable cost. The firm is providing schematic <br />designs to include layout, existing/proposed trees and shrubs, <br />fencing, benches, site amenities, water station, parking layout <br />and pathway location. <br />Start / Finish Date: 03/20 - Ongoing <br />Under the firm’s Continuing Services Contract, Miller Legg <br />prepared an aerial conceptual plan and typical sections for <br />streetscape improvements within the right-of-way along NW <br />21st Avenue between Oakland Park Boulevard and NW 26th <br />Street. The conceptual design included a conversion of a <br />continuous median into multiple landscaped medians. The <br />proposed medians work towards the continued beautification <br />of the corridor. The project also focuses on connectivity and <br />safety for pedestrians and bicyclists. It extends the existing <br />bike lane and adds visible pavement markings that promote <br />safety on the street, at driveways, and at intersection crossings. <br />Start / Finish Date: 05/19 - 07/19 <br />City of Oakland Park Lakeside Sidewalks <br />Oakland Park, FL <br />The City of Oakland Park was evaluating the addition of <br />sidewalks within the Lakeside community to improve pedestrian <br />connectivity as part of its Complete Streets program. As part of <br />the documentation required for CSLIP grant applications, Miller <br />Legg provided a conceptual aerial overlay plan and a typical <br />cross-section illustrating the proposed 5 ft. sidewalks along the <br />right-of-way for specific road segments within Lakeside. <br />Start / Finish Date: 08/17 - Ongoing
