Miller Legg surveyors used 3D <br />laser scanning equipment to collect and <br />process LiDAR data in preparation for <br />project conceptual design data needs.” <br /> <br />City of Tamarac Commercial Blvd <br />Landscaping Improvements - The <br />City of Tamarac engaged Miller Legg to <br />provide landscape architectural and <br />survey services for the existing medians <br />along 1.70 miles of West Commercial <br />Blvd in Broward County between North <br />Pine Island Road and Sawgrass <br />Expressway. In addition to landscape <br />architecture, a certified arborist report <br />and survey (including vacuum <br />excavations) services, the Miller Legg <br />team provided lighting and electrical <br />services, irrigation design, permitting, <br />and construction administrative services. <br />Coordination efforts with multiple <br />agencies, such as the Florida Turnpike <br />Authority (FTE) and the South Florida <br />Water Management District (SFWMD), <br />is included in the project scope. Specific <br />services for these roadway <br />improvements entailed providing a <br />specific purpose survey showing only <br />above-ground improvements, compiling a <br />30% conceptual landscape and lighting <br />plan, and providing 100% construction <br />documents for irrigation, landscape, <br />hardscape, lighting and electrical, and an <br />arborist assessment. <br /> <br />Town of Davie Governor Leroy <br />Collins Farm Park – The new <br />Governor Leroy Collins Farm Park 80- <br />acre parcel was purchased in 2008 <br />through a combination of funds from <br />Davie District 4 open space bonds, <br />Broward County, the Farm Bureau and <br />the Florida Communities Trust Fund. <br />The first phase of the park will consist of <br />20-acres of development and will include <br />an educational center, riding arena, <br />stables, farmers market and playground. <br />Located east of I-75, the park is being <br />built to preserve the rural lifestyle of the <br />Town of Davie. Miller Legg is providing <br />civil engineering, surveying, landscape <br />architecture, and environmental services <br />as part of the MC Harry team. The park <br />will provide volunteer opportunities, <br />farm tours, field trips, summer camps, <br />community gardens, and equestrian <br />programs for the special needs <br />population. Miller Legg's civil <br />engineering scope includes earthwork <br />analysis; paving, grading and drainage; <br />water and sanitary sewer, pavement <br />marking and signage, stormwater <br />pollution prevention; offsite <br />improvements; phasing plans, permitting <br />through the Town of Davie, Central <br />Broward Water Control District, City of <br />Sunrise, Florida Department of <br />Environmental Protection, Broward <br />County Environmental Protections and <br />South Florida Water Management <br />District; and construction administration. <br />The wetlands scope includes wetlands <br />due diligence, and the landscape <br />architecture scope includes planting <br />design, irrigation design and pedestrian <br />and equestrian trails. Surveying services <br />consisted of a topographic and tree <br />survey. <br /> <br />Veterans Administration (VA) <br />Florida National Cemetery Ph5 <br />Design Build - Miller Legg was retained <br />to provide surveying, civil engineering, <br />landscape architecture and <br />environmental services for the Florida <br />National Cemetery Phase 5 Design Build <br />Project located in Bushnell, FL. The <br />project comprises the next and final <br />construction phase of cemetery <br />development and primarily includes <br />master planning design and construction <br />involving the development of <br />approximately 40 acres of undeveloped <br />land to accommodate approximately <br />50,350 gravesites, including both casket <br />and cremation sites in new burial <br />sections. The scope of work also <br />includes topographic survey, agency <br />permitting, environmental compliance <br />review, threatened and endangered <br />species review, addressing corrections <br />and repairs and evaluating existing <br />structures and landscaping/irrigation for <br />sustainability. Miller Legg is a <br />subconsultant to The LA Group. <br /> <br />United States Department of <br />Veterans Affairs South Florida <br />National Cemetery Phase 2 Design- <br />Build - Miller Legg is providing civil, <br />survey, landscape architecture, irrigation <br />design and environmental services for <br />Phase 2 of this Design Build project <br />located in Lake Worth. Survey services <br />consist of boundary and topographic <br />surveys and surveyor title review. <br />Environmental tasks include wetland <br />mitigation assistance and threatened and <br />endangered species coordination in <br />addition to annual mitigation monitoring <br />over 5 years and gopher tortoise survey, <br />permitting and relocation. The firm is <br />providing landscape and irrigation design <br />development, construction and record <br />drawing documents. Civil construction <br />document preparation including signing <br />and pavement marking, pre-construction <br />and construction period services are also <br />being provided. Miller Legg was the <br />prime consultant for the master planning, <br />design, and construction for the <br />development of the 313-acre national <br />cemetery in Palm Beach County. <br /> <br />Orlando VA Healthcare System <br />(VA) Medical Center Facility <br />Master Plan - Miller Legg is providing <br />irrigation and landscape architecture <br />services for the Orlando Veterans <br />Administration (VA) Medical Center <br />Facility Master Plan project, which <br />consists of four (4) sites: Lake Nona VA <br />Medical Center, Lake Baldwin VA <br />Outpatient Clinic, Lakemont Campus VA <br />Medical Center and Viera Outpatient <br />Clinic. The firm is responsible for the <br />evaluation and review of existing <br />conditions, and development of design <br />recommendations, including Opinion of <br />Probable Costs. Environmental concerns <br />and methods will be identified to make <br />each campus "greener" by using <br />sustainable irrigation and landscape <br />principles. Miller Legg will prepare a <br />Comprehensive Irrigation Facility Master <br />Plan taking account of future campus <br />projects, and will assist with a review of <br />the 100% landscape plan. <br /> <br />Miami-Dade County Water and <br />Sewer Department (WASD) Pump <br />Station 0491 Force Main Extension <br />Survey - Miller Legg was contracted by <br />300 Engineering Group to provide route <br />surveys of approximately 5500 linear <br />feet of portions of Collins Avenue and <br />Golden Beach Drive for the purpose of <br />designing new force mains along this <br />route. The firm's scanning technology <br />was successfully used to produce this <br />survey. An extension to the north was <br />requested by 300 Engineering Group. <br />The ultimate Client for this project was <br />WASD.
