Qualification of Key Personnel Assigned to Engagement <br />Request for Qualifications # 22-06-01 Continuing Services for Landscape Architectural Services CCNA <br />Dade DERM, as well as bidding <br />assistance/contract administration and <br />construction phase tasks including <br />construction observation. <br /> <br />City of Homestead Biscayne- <br />Everglades Greenway Trail - Among <br />the services Miller Legg provided for this <br />3.2 mile, 12-foot-wide Biscayne <br />Everglades Greenway shared-use trail <br />project are landscape architectural, <br />engineering, surveying and environmental <br />services including preparation of FDOT- <br />approved construction documents, <br />design of regulatory and wayfinding signs, <br />pavement markings, safe pedestrian push <br />button crossing and necessary drainage <br />within the C-103 Canal right-of-way <br />from East Mowry Drive to SW 137th <br />Avenue in Homestead. The scope of <br />services was based upon a 2017 Florida <br />Shared-use Non-Motorized Trail <br />Agreement between the City of <br />Homestead and FDOT. Topographic and <br />SUE services were delivered. The scope <br />included engineering design and <br />permitting services for the shared-use <br />trail, associated drainage and roadway <br />pedestrian crossings. The firm also <br />carried out Preliminary Natural <br />Resource and Protected Species <br />Investigations and documents related to <br />designation of the Project by FDOT as a <br />Documented Categorical Exclusion. <br /> <br />City of Fort Lauderdale Mills Pond <br />Park Environmental Construction <br />Observation - The City of Fort <br />Lauderdale hired Miller Legg to provide <br />construction observation for a <br />freshwater wetland with tidal influence <br />restoration project in the highly <br />environmentally sensitive area at Mills <br />Pond Park. Miller Legg ensured <br />adherence to the specifications and <br />permit criteria and prevented accidental <br />damage to protected vegetation and <br />resources that were present on-site. <br />Construction of this off-site mitigation <br />was achieved through a combination of <br />nuisance and exotic vegetation removal <br />and planting of over 6,600 freshwater <br />and saltwater-tolerant trees, shrubs and <br />groundcover at the Park. Services <br />provided included: design, planting plans <br />and details, permitting modifications <br />through Broward County, South Florida <br />Water Management District, US Army <br />Corps of Engineers, bid specification <br />development, construction <br />administration, environmental <br />monitoring, cost estimates, scheduling, <br />sketch and legal descriptions, <br />conservation easement coordination, <br />construction layout, field modifications, <br />agency coordination, outreach program, <br />compliance and post-conservation <br />monitoring to ensure project success. <br /> <br />City of Oakland Park East Dog Park <br />- To assist with the City of Oakland <br />Park's plan to develop a 1-acre Dog Park <br />at the existing Richard Giusti Heart Par <br />Cours Park, Miller Legg was retained for <br />topographic and tree surveying, SUE, <br />engineering and landscape architecture <br />services as well as an opinion of probable <br />cost. The firm is providing schematic <br />designs and renderings to provide off- <br />street parking along NE 6th Avenue and <br />NE 36th Street, sidewalk connectivity, <br />modification to the existing jogging trail, <br />dog park design for small and large dogs <br />which includes landscape improvements, <br />tree additions, canopy shelters, water <br />stations, pet waste stations, benches and <br />asphalt walking paths. This project is <br />being performed under Miller Legg's <br />continuing services contract. <br /> <br />City of Tamarac Go-Forward <br />Roadway Landscape Master Plan <br />Update - Miller Legg provided the City <br />of Tamarac with an update to its <br />citywide Roadway Landscape Master <br />Plan. The project consisted of creating a <br />go-forward landscape roadmap guide <br />that will be implemented for years to <br />come. Miller Legg conducted a citywide <br />tree inventory assessment, an evaluation <br />of existing landscape, irrigation and <br />hardscape conditions, an overall <br />assessment of the existing character of <br />the road corridors, and an opportunities <br />and constraints analysis. The overall goal <br />was to create a Landscape Master Plan <br />that provides the City with typical <br />conceptual landscape concepts, <br />recommendations, guidelines, and <br />implementation strategies to follow. The <br />Master Plan was unanimously adopted by <br />the City Commission. <br /> <br />Doral Glades Park Wetlands <br />Monitoring - Miller Legg provided <br />environmental services at Doral Glades <br />Park. The wetlands monitoring project <br />involves wetland mitigation, site <br />compliance review and maintenance, <br />contractor observation and oversight, as <br />well as pre- and post-herbicidal <br />contractor review for treatment of <br />invasive/exotic and nuisance plant <br />species. In addition, this project included <br />the submission of annual Florida <br />Communities Trust (FCT) stewardship <br />reports on behalf of the City. This annual <br />report included on-site observation of <br />required structures and facilities along <br />with narrative and photo-documentation <br />reporting. The project enabled City Park <br />development and programming for the <br />passive environmental education facility. <br />Miller Legg also provided assessment and <br />corrective recommendations on installed <br />hardwood trees. <br /> <br />Port St. Lucie Landscape Architect- <br />Arborist for GPS Landscaping & <br />Signs Inventory - Miller Legg was <br />selected by the City of Port St Lucie to <br />update its municipal Tree and Landscape <br />Inventory using the City's on-line Tree <br />inventory portal. The firm is responsible <br />for inventorying new trees and landscape <br />beds on City property to collect bed <br />lines, genus/species, size, square footage, <br />condition in the case of plants; <br />genus/species, height, size, DBH, <br />measurement, condition, replacement <br />value in the case of trees; and location in <br />the case of signs. Miller Legg reports on <br />each City Entry Sign site with current <br />entry sign, plant and tree information <br />updates to the existing GPS database. <br />Designated locations include City Hall, <br />road rights-of-way, cul-de-sacs, pond <br />areas and entry signs. <br /> <br /> <br />
