Specific services he has <br />provided to clients include: the <br />development and preparation of approved <br />Florida Communities Trust Grant <br />applications, management plans, and <br />stewardship reports including <br />coordination with staff to resolve scoring <br />and site development issues for local <br />municipalities, developing and delivering <br />complex county, state, and federal <br />environmental resource permit <br />applications, and practical field experience <br />involving environmental and conservation <br />principles and water resource engineering <br />as it relates to, water quality <br />improvements, flood control, natural <br />ecosystems, and municipal water supply. <br /> <br />Mr. Mann is a certified arborist and <br />provides the following consulting services <br />to both public and private sector clients: <br />tree species identification and inventories, <br />tree surveys and canopy mapping, <br />destroyed/damaged tree assessments, <br />tree value estimates, tree grading, tree <br />species selection for planting, mangrove <br />trimming oversight and tree permitting. <br /> <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br /> <br />City of Pembroke Pines Florida <br />Wetlandsbank - A 450-acre <br />entrepreneurial fresh water wetland <br />mitigation bank in Pembroke Pines. <br />Services provided included: site planning, <br />extensive negotiations with permitting <br />agencies, including the US Army Corps of <br />Engineers, South Florida Water <br />Management District and Broward <br />County, to secure dredge and fill, and <br />water management permits, establishment <br />of a mitigation credit system, design of a <br />balanced wetland ecosystem including a <br />wide variety of fresh water habitats and <br />hydroperiods necessary for a dynamic <br />self-sustaining system, extensive <br />hydrologic studies and reviews to <br />optimize critical hydrologic parameters, <br />preparation of bid documents, contract <br />administration, construction phasing, cost <br />estimates, wildlife stress management <br />plans, and construction inspection and <br />post construction monitoring. In addition, <br />a portion of the previous rock pit was <br />backfilled to greater than 25 feet and <br />brought up to wetlands restoration grade. <br />Award: Grand Award for Engineering <br />Excellence, American Council of Engineering <br />Companies, Florida Chapter, 1998 <br /> <br />City of Pembroke Pines West Pines <br />Soccer Park - A 56-acre active and <br />passive municipal park located at 196th <br />Avenue and Pines Boulevard in the City of <br />Pembroke Pines. This unique park's <br />features included four soccer fields and <br />one football facility as well as providing <br />other active park elements with passive <br />park facilities such as a boardwalk and 21 <br />acres of wetlands mitigation area. Services <br />provided by Miller Legg included civil <br />engineering, surveying, wetlands <br />mitigation planning, assistance with grant <br />writing, and mitigation construction <br />observation. Permitting was coordinated <br />with US Army Corps of Engineers, <br />Broward County and South Florida <br />Water Management District. Miller Legg <br />worked in concert with several other <br />consultants to deliver this project. <br /> <br />City of Plantation SR 817/University <br />Drive Bus Stop Improvements LAP <br />- Miller Legg was retained by the City of <br />Plantation to assist them prepare National <br />Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) <br />documentation. The firm performed an <br />environmental review of 22 existing bus <br />stops to meet Americans with Disability <br />Act (ADA) criteria and installation of <br />eight new bus shelters in the City of <br />Plantation. The work was completed <br />under a Local Area Provider (LAP) <br />agreement between the City of Plantation <br />and Florida Department of <br />Transportation (FDOT) District 4.
