<br />Port St. Lucie Landscape Architect-
<br />Arborist for GPS Landscaping &
<br />Signs Inventory - Miller Legg was
<br />selected by the City of Port St Lucie to
<br />update its municipal Tree and Landscape
<br />Inventory using the City's on-line Tree
<br />inventory portal. The firm is responsible
<br />for inventorying new trees and landscape
<br />beds on City property to collect bed
<br />lines, genus/species, size, square footage,
<br />condition in the case of plants;
<br />genus/species, height, size, DBH,
<br />measurement, condition, replacement
<br />value in the case of trees; and location in
<br />the case of signs. Miller Legg reports on
<br />each City Entry Sign site with current
<br />entry sign, plant and tree information
<br />updates to the existing GPS database.
<br />Designated locations include City Hall,
<br />road rights-of-way, cul-de-sacs, pond
<br />areas and entry signs.

<br />City of Coral Springs Street Tree
<br />Replacement Program - For this
<br />street tree replacement program in the
<br />City of Coral Springs, Miller Legg
<br />developed a tree replacement flyer and
<br />program to disseminate this information
<br />to residents desiring to participate in this
<br />program. The flyer included an overview
<br />of the project as well as specific guidelines
<br />and recommendations for the tree
<br />replacement activities. The firm also
<br />coordinated approval from the City staff
<br />and assisted with its dissemination. In
<br />addition, our landscape architecture staff
<br />worked with the staff to review the
<br />applications submitted and assist in the
<br />review of plant installations facilitated by
<br />this program.

<br />City of Coral Springs Red Lichen
<br />Post Monitoring - Miller Legg
<br />performed five (5) years of required
<br />mitigation monitoring at the City of Coral
<br />Springs Red Lichen Sanctuary wetland,
<br />followed by a further three (3) years of
<br />hydrological monitoring. Miller Legg was
<br />responsible for a biannual download of
<br />hydrological data and maintenance of the
<br />existing piezometer at the City of Coral
<br />Springs Red Lichen Sanctuary wetland.
<br />Data downloaded at the wetland location
<br />was assembled and used in the
<br />preparation of a water level hydrograph.
<br />In addition general observations of the
<br />site and site photographs were collected
<br />and submitted.

<br />City of Fort Lauderdale Mills Pond
<br />Park Environmental Construction
<br />Observation - The City of Fort
<br />Lauderdale hired Miller Legg to provide
<br />construction observation for a freshwater
<br />wetland with tidal influence restoration
<br />project in the highly environmentally
<br />sensitive area at Mills Pond Park. Miller
<br />Legg ensured adherence to the
<br />specifications and permit criteria and
<br />prevented accidental damage to protected
<br />vegetation and resources that were
<br />present on-site. Construction of this off-
<br />site mitigation was achieved through a
<br />combination of nuisance and exotic
<br />vegetation removal and planting of over
<br />6,600 freshwater and saltwater-tolerant
<br />trees, shrubs and groundcover at the
<br />Park. Services provided included: design,
<br />planting plans and details, permitting
<br />modifications through Broward County,
<br />South Florida Water Management
<br />District, US Army Corps of Engineers, bid
<br />specification development, construction
<br />administration, environmental monitoring,
<br />cost estimates, scheduling, sketch and
<br />legal descriptions, conservation easement
<br />coordination, construction layout, field
<br />modifications, agency coordination,
<br />outreach program, compliance and post-
<br />conservation monitoring to ensure
<br />project success.

<br />City of Pembroke Pines West Pines
<br />Soccer Park - A 56-acre active and
<br />passive municipal park located at 196th
<br />Avenue and Pines Boulevard in the City of
<br />Pembroke Pines. This unique park's
<br />features included four soccer fields and
<br />one football facility as well as providing
<br />other active park elements with passive
<br />park facilities such as a boardwalk and 21
<br />acres of wetlands mitigation area. Services
<br />provided by Miller Legg included civil
<br />engineering, surveying, wetlands
<br />mitigation planning, assistance with grant
<br />writing, and mitigation construction
<br />observation. Permitting was coordinated
<br />with US Army Corps of Engineers,
<br />Broward County and South Florida
<br />Water Management District. Miller Legg
<br />worked in concert with several other
<br />consultants to deliver this project.

<br />City of Orange City Tree Inventory -
<br />Miller Legg performed a differential GPS
<br />inventory of more than 2,000 trees
<br />located within 10 City-owned properties,
<br />as well as a 1,500 SF median along Graves
<br />Avenue. Each tree inventoried had the
<br />following data collected: species common
<br />and scientific names, location coordinates,
<br />trunk diameter, overall height, canopy
<br />spread, general health/condition, and
<br />notes on overall health/condition if
<br />problems exist. General tree condition
<br />was evaluated by an ISA Certified
<br />Arborist for each tree inventoried. For
<br />each site inventoried, the resulting data
<br />was provided to the City via an aerial
<br />photograph exhibit and tree inventory
<br />table.

<br />City of Miramar - Miramar Parkway
<br />LAP Streetscape Improvements
<br />from 62nd to 64th Avenue - Miramar
<br />Parkway Streetscape Improvement
<br />project was a Local Agency Program
<br />(LAP)-funded revitalization project in the
<br />City of Miramar. The project entailed
<br />Miramar Parkway's eastern gateway
<br />segment from 62nd to 64th Avenue,
<br />approximately 1/2 mile in length. The
<br />project included intersection
<br />improvements, traffic signal
<br />modifications/upgrades and sidewalk and
<br />Florida Friendly landscape beautification
<br />throughout the project limits. Services
<br />provided included: surveying including
<br />topographic surveying, maintenance of
<br />traffic, underground utility designation,
<br />landscape architecture, hardscape design,
<br />drainage and stormwater permitting,
<br />design and management, lighting and
<br />electrical design, geotechnical design,
<br />traffic engineering, tree permitting and
<br />arborist services, as well as LAP
<br />coordination, permitting and submittal
<br />documentation. Miller Legg developed a
<br />master plan for this corridor,
<br />incorporating access management and
<br />shared commercial parking facilities to
<br />enhance the commercial viability of the
<br />corridor. Utilizing the master plan,
<br />extensive public outreach was conducted
<br />with the corridor stakeholder to establish
<br />consensus on the redevelopment and
<br />roadway plan.
