Peter <br />has successfully led multidisciplinary <br />teams in planning and design on a wide <br />range of civil engineering projects. His <br />project experience encompasses soil and <br />groundwater remediation; water <br />treatment and wastewater pre-treatment <br />systems; water and wastewater pump <br />stations and transmission lines; site <br />planning; earthwork; drainage systems; <br />paving and grading; erosion control / <br />stormwater pollution prevention; <br />roadway design and specifications. He is <br />proficient in Civil 3D, Traffic Impact <br />Statement analysis, open channel flow <br />modeling, and lift station design. <br /> <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br /> <br />City of Miramar Historic Public <br />Safety Complex - The City of <br />Miramar replaced the Civic Center and <br />Child Care building with a new one-story <br />24,000 SF building to accommodate its <br />police substation, storage, administrative <br />and other law enforcement and public <br />safety facilities, in addition to a surface <br />parking lot for safety vehicles. The new <br />building was certified Gold LEED <br />certification. Miller Legg provided civil <br />engineering design, permitting and <br />construction administration services as <br />part of the Architects Design Group <br />team. Government permitting included <br />the City of Miramar, Broward County <br />and FDEP. The firm also provided LEED <br />certification and value engineering review <br />services. <br /> <br />City of West Palm Beach Gregory <br />Road Green Streets LID Sanitary <br />Sewer & Stormwater - The City of <br />West Palm Beach requested Miller Legg <br />to provide professional engineering, <br />landscape architecture, surveying and <br />construction administration services for <br />the design and bidding assistance of a <br />stormwater management and drainage <br />improvements project in an existing <br />residential neighborhood. The project <br />involved the installation of +/- 700 LF of <br />exfiltration trench including four (4) <br />bioretention cell modules which <br />provided opportunities for various Low <br />Impact Development (LID) best <br />management practices to reduce <br />stormwater runoff and nuisance flooding. <br />LID implementation was facilitated by <br />the installation of bioretention in the <br />bumpouts on Gregory Road, and <br />nuisance flooding decreased through <br />driveway modifications and speed <br />control devices. The project is located <br />along Gregory Road and Gregory Place <br />between S. Olive Avenue and S. Flagler <br />Drive. Miller Legg provided construction <br />phase services consisting of bi-monthly <br />meetings with City and contractors, <br />construction observation site visits, <br />contractor change order responses, <br />minor fieldwork changes, shop drawing <br />and sample review, special inspections or <br />testing, as built review and approval, <br />contractor pay application <br />recommendations and completion <br />document review. Miller Legg also <br />conducted a public outreach meeting <br />prior to the start of construction. This <br />project was completed under the firm's <br />multi-year General Engineering Services <br />contract. <br /> <br />Hollywood Beach Golf Course and <br />Club House - Miller Legg is on the <br />architecture team to provide civil <br />engineering design services for the 104- <br />acre 18-hole Hollywood Beach Golf <br />Course project which includes the design <br />of a new golf course clubhouse and <br />parking lot, golf course remodeling and <br />accessory buildings within the parcel. <br />The project also plans to accommodate <br />approximately 8,800 LF of perimeter <br />greenway / pathway. The firm is assisting <br />with the development of the final <br />programming and conceptual plan, <br />including utility map, as-builts and <br />existing site condition research as well as <br />preparation of schematic design for tree, <br />plant beds and hardscape locations.
