Qualification of Key Personnel Assigned to Engagement <br />Request for Qualifications # 22-06-01 Continuing Services for Landscape Architectural Services CCNA <br /> <br />will include clearing/demolition, <br />geometry, signage and marking, utility, <br />paving, grading and drainage plans as well <br />as construction details. The design will <br />incorporate Crime Prevention Through <br />Environmental Design (CPTED) <br />principles. A paving, grading and drainage <br />plan will also be provided for the <br />proposed maintenance barn. Permitting <br />will be coordinated with the City of <br />Hollywood, Broward County and South <br />Florida Water Management District. The <br />scope includes preparation of a <br />stormwater report for the project. Miller <br />Legg will assist with construction phase <br />services including civil construction <br />administration. <br /> <br />Town of Davie Governor Leroy <br />Collins Farm Park - The new <br />Governor Leroy Collins Farm Park 80- <br />acre parcel was purchased in 2008 <br />through a combination of funds from <br />Davie District 4 open space bonds, <br />Broward County, the Farm Bureau and <br />the Florida Communities Trust Fund. <br />The first phase of the park will consist of <br />20-acres of development and will include <br />an educational center, riding arena, <br />stables, farmers market and playground. <br />Located east of I-75, the park is being <br />built to preserve the rural lifestyle of the <br />Town of Davie. Miller Legg is providing <br />civil engineering, surveying, landscape <br />architecture, and environmental services <br />as part of the MC Harry team. The park <br />will provide volunteer opportunities, <br />farm tours, field trips, summer camps, <br />community gardens, and equestrian <br />programs for the special needs <br />population. Miller Legg's civil <br />engineering scope includes earthwork <br />analysis; paving, grading and drainage; <br />water and sanitary sewer, pavement <br />marking and signage, stormwater <br />pollution prevention; offsite <br />improvements; phasing plans, permitting <br />through the Town of Davie, Central <br />Broward Water Control District, City of <br />Sunrise, Florida Department of <br />Environmental Protection, Broward <br />County Environmental Protections and <br />South Florida Water Management <br />District; and construction administration. <br />The wetlands scope includes wetlands <br />due diligence, and the landscape <br />architecture scope includes planting <br />design, irrigation design and pedestrian <br />and equestrian trails. Surveying services <br />consisted of a topographic and tree <br />survey. <br /> <br />City of Miramar Historic Public <br />Safety Complex - The City of Miramar <br />replaced the Civic Center and Child <br />Care building with a new one-story <br />24,000 SF building to accommodate its <br />police substation, storage, administrative <br />and other law enforcement and public <br />safety facilities, in addition to a surface <br />parking lot for safety vehicles. The new <br />building was certified Gold LEED <br />certification. Miller Legg provided civil <br />engineering design, permitting and <br />construction administration services as <br />part of the Architects Design Group <br />team. Government permitting included <br />the City of Miramar, Broward County <br />and FDEP. The firm also provided LEED <br />certification and value engineering review <br />services. <br /> <br />City of West Palm Beach 32nd/33rd <br />Streets Water Main Improvements <br />- Miller Legg provided surveying, <br />underground utility locates, geotechnical <br />engineering, civil engineering design and <br />bidding assistance services for a 2,700 LF <br />water and 2,000 LF gravity sewer 8" <br />water main replacement project on 32nd <br />Street and 33rd Street from Floral <br />Avenue to N. Flagler Drive and on N. <br />Flagler Drive from 32nd Street to 35th <br />Street in the historic Northwood Shores <br />district. The existing water mains were <br />transite, undersized, and had reached the <br />end of their useful life. The Basis of <br />Design Report (BODR) and <br />development of 30% plan scope involved <br />the assessment of water main <br />replacement, sanitary sewer <br />replacement/relocation (from rear yard <br />to street on 2 streets) and evaluation of <br />storm drainage improvements. The 1/4 <br />mile project is located approx. 6,850 ft. <br />north of Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard on <br />the west side of N. Flagler Drive. Public <br />outreach with affected residents took <br />place and their concerns documented in <br />advance of the construction phase. This <br />project was completed under the firm's <br />multi-year City of West Palm Beach <br />General Engineering Services contract. <br /> <br />City of West Palm Beach Gregory <br />Road Green Streets LID Sanitary <br />Sewer & Stormwater - The City of <br />West Palm Beach requested Miller Legg <br />to provide professional engineering, <br />landscape architecture, surveying and <br />construction administration services for <br />the design and bidding assistance of a <br />stormwater management and drainage <br />improvements project in an existing <br />residential neighborhood. The project <br />involved the installation of +/- 700 LF of <br />exfiltration trench including four (4) <br />bioretention cell modules which <br />provided opportunities for various Low <br />Impact Development (LID) best <br />management practices to reduce <br />stormwater runoff and nuisance flooding. <br />LID implementation was facilitated by <br />the installation of bioretention in the <br />bumpouts on Gregory Road, and <br />nuisance flooding decreased through <br />driveway modifications and speed <br />control devices. The project is located <br />along Gregory Road and Gregory Place <br />between S. Olive Avenue and S. Flagler <br />Drive. Miller Legg provided construction <br />phase services consisting of bi-monthly <br />meetings with City and contractors, <br />construction observation site visits, <br />contractor change order responses, <br />minor fieldwork changes, shop drawing <br />and sample review, special inspections or <br />testing, as built review and approval, <br />contractor pay application <br />recommendations and completion <br />document review. Miller Legg also <br />conducted a public outreach meeting <br />prior to the start of construction. This <br />project was completed under the firm's <br />multi-year General Engineering Services <br />contract. <br /> <br />City of West Palm Beach WPB <br />Omar Road Improvements - Miller <br />Legg provided surveying and engineering <br />services associated with analysis of the <br />existing drainage system from Omar <br />Road north along Parker Avenue and <br />west to Belvedere Road and I-95. This <br />road experiences significant flooding <br />during short duration high intensity <br />storm events. Along with our surveying <br />and geotechnical team members, the firm <br />evaluated contributing factors, provided <br />potential mitigation solutions and an <br />opinion of probable costs for such <br />prospective alternatives. This project <br />was completed under the firm's multi- <br />year General Engineering Services <br />contract.
